This octopus is adorable! Will it fit an entire tissue box though? I'm guessing it has to be the square tissue boxes right?

@xpretz: Actually when they say tissue, I think they mean toilet paper. I have one of these, and there is no way to get a square box in there.

"This holder is capable for one roll of normal size tissue"

Yeah, sounds like toilet paper to me.

@rmanz: Thanks! That is an odd toilet paper holder then. If it was tissues I would understand. Maybe I'll still get it just to have it as a plushie cause it's adorable!

I bought two of these. They do not work at all, the tissue's get stuck in the octopus because it's cotton material sticks to the tissue. Also the hole in the mouth isn't designed right for tissues so what basically happens is it tries to bring all the tissues through the mouth, it gets stuck, and you end up ripping all the tissues to shreds. They are very cute yes and the lady of the house still likes them, but they are not practical by any means.

@heymo: thanks for the shout out! I can't believe how great of a response this lil feller beckons. I'm still not certain from the listing if he's supposed to hold kleenex or TP. I think #whobuysthisjunk is even more fitting because we're not even sure what the product holds...yet he sells out. ;)

@rmanz: Toilet paper! that's genious! I had no idea what to do with it once the tissue box didn't fit

@perkalicious11: Just giving credit where it's due...

I do have to admit, he's growing on me!

I bought one a while ago. Still can't tell what it's actually for, but it currently sits slightly deflated on the corner of my desk. I'll probably end up stuffing it with tissue or cotton balls so it's less deflated and maybe feed some of my chargers through its mouth so it can sort of be a wire cover.

'S cute :D

I don't think that this is supposed to be used to dispense the toilet paper, just to be a pretty way to cover up the readily available spare roll if the main one in use runs out. Most people have a toilet paper dispenser affixed to a wall or other vertical surface in the bathroom.

I got mine a week ago and i cant even fit a normal sized roll of toilet paper in there lol the pocket inside is just a TINY bit too small. either that or i buy huge rolls of toilet paper ahah

i agree with @delavager when he said that the cotton in the mouth tends to rip the tissue as its coming out, but it doesnt happen all the time. I bought this for one of my friends who just had a kid and found that if you just take a bunch of toilet paper off the roll, and ball it up inside it works just as well.

This octopus sucks! I put in tissue and tried a roll of tp and first of all shoving inside is a mission in itself and second it just shreds tissue as you pull it out. Worthless piece of junk and I got the crappy color of black. Triple thumbs down for this product!

Lack of a color choice kills it for me. If I could get a red or blue one it'd be cool. Reminds me of the octopi in the first Zelda but I refuse to take the chance and get pink.

hahaha i WANTED pink but got 2 red ones. i mean i ordered 2 to get 2 different colors, getting 2 of the same was really suck! & its not that great. i'd love to get rid of the 2nd red one. ):

Does anyone want to trade a black one for a red one?

i have yet to find a type of tissue to fit in mine. i wanted a black one but got a pink one... anyone wanna trade???

Everyone: I figured out how to get this to work properly. I bought one of those small cube boxes of facial tissues, and ripped open the box. The tissues were sort of rolled into a "U" shape in the box. I stuck this inside the Octorok with the inside of the "U" facing the mouth. Then I grabbed the first tissue from the inside of the "U" through the mouth, and pulled it through. Now, each tissue I take brings out a new one. I'll try to make a video of it in the near future. I will say that the zippered opening is small, but if you remove the box like I described you can get this Octorok to spit tissues at you.

@sirlouie: You're awesome! Now I can actually buy this octopus knowing that it'll be useful! Thank you!

I don't own this little octopus or anything, but from my experience with these toilet paper dispensers, the best way to do it is to remove the cardboard tube from the roll and pull out the tissue from the middle - kind of like how you deal with yarn, for the knitters out there :)
