Just informed by my friend's eight-year-old nephew you only get the game – you have to buy all the instruments to play the game separately. I don't know why you have those lying around not have the software to go with. Sounds like a rip to me.

@da5id: It's for people that bought Rockband 1 or 2, and therefore already have all the instruments.

Good deal, thanks for posting! For anyone who doesn't know, Guitar Hero instruments (the guitars anyway) work perfectly with Rock Band games.
