Could this be used on a mostly enclosed porch (a lot of water comes in through the unscreened windows), or is it an indoor thing?

vote-for10vote-against

my LoveSac loves to get out whenever possible

btw is that bristol palin on my LoveSac?

vote-for3vote-against

I'll woot that moofi deal. Price is half off everything else out there.

vote-for2vote-against

I'm in too, this is just too insane to pass up

vote-for2vote-against

i couldn't pass on this one. i've been eyeing this for way to long, had to take this steal!

vote-for2vote-against

How do you get to that page normally? I tried to reload it and it took me to the regular woot page. Is there always a secret deal?

vote-for5vote-against

So why does it cost 180 dollars for a bean bag chair but with foam? Im really confused. Why would anyone purchase this?

vote-for6vote-against

If you have ever sat in a "lovesac" then you would know that these things are awesome. Smoking deal on a brand new one. Only downside is no fancy micro cover.

vote-for2vote-against

If anyone owns one of these-- Are the expensive covers really necessary? It looks pretty comfy by itself and I don't wanna pay an extra $300 for a cover

vote-for2vote-against

@rockmasterflex69: you just have to sit in one to find out. in fact i think lovesac's slogan is something about "it's not a damn beanbag!" they're amazing. that is all.

vote-for2vote-against

@zanex: expensive covers are very nice. the regular cover isn't bad, but the more expensive ones are luxurious and nice PLUS durable. if you like, you could try sowing a zipper onto your favorite blankie... but instead just buy the cover. honestly if i didn't live in such a hot climate i would have purchased a $200 king size blanket that felt like i was wrapped in angels wings... and no i don't work for lovesac, i've just been dreaming of getting one for years.

vote-for2vote-against

@rufyo: Yes, moofi is a "secret", but you can find what's for sale by searching moofi on deals.woot

vote-for1vote-against

If you have no one to love you, just buy LoveSac! Instant love!

vote-for5vote-against

Awesome deal. In for 1. My wife and I wanted to get one of these for a reading area in our room. Its originally $349.

vote-for6vote-against

We bought a 'Comfy Sack' a couple years ago and love it. It appears to be very similar to this item. I think we paid $300 total and it came with a cover. We purchased the 6ft sack which fits 2 adults just fine.

Cover is really durable. We've got 2 kids and it hasn't stained or torn yet.

The thing is really comfortable but the foam settles in. It's still comfortable but not as much as when you fluff it. It's kinda heavy so fluffing it takes some work. My 5'2" wife is strong enough to do it, my 4 and 10 year olds definitely are not.

After a fluffing the thing is really fun to jump on. My 4 year old likes me to fluff it, pick him up in the air, and then throw him down in the middle. He sinks down pretty far and has to climb out.

Overall we like our Comfy Sack, are happy with our purchase, and recommend it to others.

I realize this isn't the exact same thing as the item being sold but thought the information might be useful to people out there.

vote-for6vote-against

I can't see paying $180 for what is essentially a beanbag chair, even if it is half the normal price.

vote-for9vote-against

If you see a faded sign by the side of the road that says
15 miles to the... Love Sac! Love Sac yeah
I'm headin' down the Atlanta highway,
lookin' for the love getaway
Heading for the love getaway, love getaway,
I got me a car, it's as big as a whale
and we're headin' on down
To the Love Sac
I got me a Chrysler, it seats about 20
So hurry up and bring your jukebox money

vote-for3vote-against

@durkzilla: Nicely done!

Totally in for one!

vote-for2vote-against

I like the instructions! "Grab the underside of your Sac...Repeat as required (and often as you like)."!!

And the warning are kinda fun too! "Do not allow children to play unattended on the Sac - better yet, do not allow your children to play unattended at all."

vote-for3vote-against

I couldn't resist, I was going to wait and buy one in January, but this is too good of a deal.

vote-for2vote-against

If you have never sat/layed in a Luvsac, take my word and buy one right now! These are not bean bags, they are foam bags and they are amazing! We have had our for 5 years and it is still the favorite place of relaxation in our entire house, for us, family, and friends!

Great deal!!!

vote-for2vote-against

Has anyone ever dealt with the warranty process for a lovesac? I'm surprised to only see a 3 year warranty, I would have expected a lifetime warranty for something so expensive.

vote-for3vote-against

bah you click on the picture to zoom it up and the girl is gone.

vote-for3vote-against

@suludance: That is EXACTLY what I thought when that picture came up. Then I saw the book....

vote-for2vote-against

For this price, I couldn't afford not to. It's cheaper than taking a risk on a used one on CL.

vote-for2vote-against

just in time for the new Call of Duty: Black Ops. these things are so comfortable, this is chaper than the employee discount. can't wait for it to arrive

vote-for1vote-against

This is a great deal on a LoveSac, but if you're thinking about getting one, go take a look at fombag.com. They're at least half the price of a LoveSac, and almost as awesome (I say almost because they are not stuffed quite as excessively as a LoveSac). My husband and I bought one to use as the couch in our media room and it's amazing!

vote-for2vote-against

@zanex: Yes, the covers really are necessary. The microfiber is a little staticky in the winter, but it's the only way to be able to clean it, as the main cover is not so removable.

vote-for2vote-against

My girls would love this! I don't know if we have room though...

vote-for2vote-against

@drmcfacekick: The one you link to is $215 shipped for a similar size in a denim fabric (others fabrics are available for more money). And that's after a 20% off promotion. This is currently the better deal and, apparently, a better product.

vote-for2vote-against

In for one based on your comments.

You better not let me down.

Also my browser crashed when I first made the move to buy this. A bad omen?

vote-for2vote-against

Careful on the pricing...the LoveSac MovieSac is cheaper through this deal ($185 vs. $349), but as far as I can tell, this KhakiSac version does not come with the cover that many posters above are saying is almost necessary.

The cheapest cover is $270!

So while this deal does save money, you'll still be spending a ton for a Sac.

Btw, real men play hacky-sack with their KhakiSac.

vote-for2vote-against

@aofl: i went in for two based on my comments :-)

vote-for3vote-against

@twowoot: That's true, though I bet it's easier to find a cheap cover elsewhere, though not necessarily LoveSac brand.

Speaking of which, would anyone happen to know where one might find such a thing?

This ebay store seems to have some around $70:

vote-for4vote-against

@twowoot

Actually, there is a $50 'Sport Utility' MovieSac cover from the official website. I'd say buy that for full protection, add a comfy blanket on top for at home lounging.

vote-for2vote-against

@kitcroupier: True...the Sport Utility Sac is much cheaper, but since it is designed for outdoor use, I'm wondering how comfortable it would be in general use. Even with a blanket on it like you suggested, would it still be like sitting on a slick nylon raincoat?

Anyone have the SU Sac and can comment?

@jodi242: Thanks for the link to the alternatives. Definitely brings the price down to reality again. Hopefully someone with first-hand knowledge of alternatives will chime in before the day is over.

vote-for3vote-against

@prettywootprincess: That sort of enticement is not fair. It's like you're trying to get us to buy it or something.

vote-for3vote-against

@twowoot: What?! I was just trying to get everyone a discount on something they already wanted =).

vote-for2vote-against

The sport utility cover is a good deal but its not as comfortable as the normal covers. It does however provide a good cover for the sac to protect against stains and stuff. A friend of mine has one and said he wouldn't prefer using it as his only cover but its a good cover if you are moving it around everywhere including outdoors.

vote-for2vote-against

Coolest deal ever and I cant afford it.

vote-for2vote-against

@twowoot: you are kinda of right that the cheapest cover is $270. You can get a Sport Utility Cover for $30 at lovesac with the promo code woot.

Second you are still saving because if you buy the MovieSac + cover on lovesac they are $600+ so the 270+185 is still less than the 600 buying it normally.

vote-for4vote-against

@prettywootprincess: so is it really as comfortable as it looks?

vote-for2vote-against

@bdub46: True. I was just pointing out that one shouldn't get suckered in by the low $185 price because you still have a $270 cover to buy. This is still a way better deal than normal retail, but the shocking cost of the covers needs to be mentioned for potential purchasers to consider.

@prettywootprincess: You're so kind. If you can use your magic princess powers to talk them into a $100 deal on a soft and fuzzy cover, we'd all promote you to queen. :)

vote-for2vote-against

@twowoot: I do think that the 270+ for a cover is a little high, but I would get one eventually cause its a good way to protect your investment, and you can just take em off and machine wash them to clean them. I think I'm going to start out with the SU cover since its only 30 and upgrade later.

vote-for2vote-against

Please don't let me down fellow Wooters...

vote-for4vote-against

I have two "LittleLovSacs". OH MY GOD. I've had one for 5 years. I just got a matching one on CL for $45!!!! And it was barely used! Mine are each about 3' in diameter fluffed, and both have microfiber covers. My old one is way broken in, so much so, that I actually transfered some stuffing from the new to the old, and I've been sitting on the new one to try break it in.
Now that I have the two, I'm tossing my couch (which I rarely sat on anyway). I SOOOOOO want this moviesac to complete my area, but my wife says no.
As for a cover, with a modest sewing machine proficiency, you could make one out of any fabric you wish. The idea is fairly simple. The shape is a cylinder; Two circles, one top, one bottom. The circumference of the cylinder is bisected by a zipper, going about 320 degrees around. The other 40 degrees gives you a hinge, letting you get the khakisac in. Just include a few vent holes to let air out when you flop onto it. I can try to draw it and post if you want.

vote-for2vote-against

@crazychinaman: Wait...you mean the cover is just two circles sewn together? So if you took the Sac out of the cover and just spread the cover out, it would be a flat circle, one piece of fabric on top, one on bottom?

No stitched panels to shape it at all?

If that's true, that's the easiest thing in the world to sew.

Edit: Oh, I think I misunderstood. It's two circles, one on top and one on bottom, and then a flat panel wrapping around the middle...basically a tin can. That still seems awfully simple.

vote-for3vote-against

If you want detailed pictures that would let you construct one, let me know, and I can make a web album.
The difference between this and a bean bag chair, is worlds. Bean bags have small styrofoam pellets, which don't really compress, they just displace, which is why you don't fill a bean bag chair full. a LovSac, when fluffed, fills the whole volume. When you sit in it, it squishes to fit you however you want. You can sit in it arm chair style, towards the front, giving you a bolster, or you can plop your butt right in middle and lean back, or anything you want.
Friends would say that they can't sit in it, because they wouldn't be able to get up. At which point they melt into it :D For less than the price of a love seat, you get something far far more comfortable. If you have a space where this would belong, not fit, but Belong, then you should get it. And if you still don't like it, I'll take it off your hands ;D
