I am all for reducing plastic bottle waste in landfills & elsewhere, but the promotion of more CO2 intake rubs me the wrong way. Recent studies have shown that increased carbonation intake can have serious detrimental health effects such as leaching calcium from bones. Also, since our family has eliminated HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) from our diets, we use plain canned seltzer with a little MIO or store-brand non-HFCS sweetener, or even some homemade flavored simple syrup.

That said, this is still a great deal for those who want to reduce their impact on the environment. Cheaper than Amazon by about $20, plus the $20 Fab GC and free shipping FTW.

@zippy the pinhead: Thanks! I didn't know that side of SodaStream, that's awful corporate practice. That's bad. I'd not promote them again. sigh

MiO does have preservatives and dye...

I don't drink soda at all, just plain water and/or juices.
