When I bought a Panasonic razor last year, this model was in the $100+ category...where I saw no reason to go...to many razors below $100 that does the one job a razor is supposed to do -- provide me with a good (not great, only a blade razor can do that) and comfortable shave.

In general, Panasonic has the best electric razors out there right now.

This is a good deal for a very good razor...now available at a price so you can actually look at yourself in the mirror when shaving and feel ok about getting a "fancier" razor without paying the higher price.

I guess it depends on the type of facial hair you have. If it's like mine, rough, course and pointing to every direction under the sun, I find my trusty old Braun does a much better job than a razor.
