Booo... The price has already been jacked up to 12.99. Thinkgeek's deal from four months ago is still active, same price and 6.79 to ship one.

Raising the price. Now that's funny.

Wow, shooting air at each other--how excedingly...boring. For a total of $16, I think I'd rather get a big sheet of paper and wave it around.

Anyone downplaying an airzooka has never had one
They are amazing
It's such a cool thing to have just to mess around with, you can actually feel it hit over like 20 feet away
If you can get one for 10bux it's totally worth it, I wouldn't buy one off thinkgeek though
You could probably find one at walmart for 10 or various other toy stores

@kdog98: How much would you sell this idea/method for? Must be cheaper than 12.99 + shipping

vote-for1vote-against

These are extremely fun! Getting hit close range by them can be unpleasant.

But at this price its about the same as they go for in the store.

Thinkgeek.com has it for $9.99 and $6.59 shipping or $7.09 shipping for 2. If you spend $30 you can take $10 off with code RING274

I wonder if I can fart in the gun then shoot it at people....

vote-for2vote-against

This will be good for keeping my kids' cats off the furniture!

@illwill1023: Do you think I could sell a sheet of paper on eBay and call it an air catapult? If I could sell it for $12.99 +shipping I'd do it!

vote-for0vote-against

@kdog98: with the right marketing you could sell anything on ebay, but 12.99 may be too steep, try and put some feelers out for 9.99 or 5.99, those seem to be magic prices for crap

vote-for1vote-against

It's $9.99 again. Anybody have a Skoofy coupon?

vote-for1vote-against

So, I'm guessing I can't shoot a T-Shirt into a crowd with this?

vote-for2vote-against

Load it up with a handful of paper from your cross-cut shredder and use as a confetti cannon. Then get out the Eureka bagless vacuum and clean it up.

sellout.woot has become advertizment for website that has (mod edit: profanity) sales

These are INCREDIBLY fun. A good demonstration of vortex physics and astoundingly effective. You can blow all the papers off someone's desk at a range of 25 feet. (try doing that with your sheet of paper) Not so sure about the price though... I bought one 6 years ago for like 15 shipped. Good news? It's still working extremely well!

9.99 regular price at thinkgeek: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/warfare/60b6/

I don't know what they charge for shipping, but I doubt they'll hit you with 7 bucks. That seems excessive.

This were a huge hit at science day last year at my middle school. I have already had the TEACHERS asking if they can reserve it as their activity! Believe it or not but shooting a blast of air at people is very fun!

@hal2814
Been doing that for years and bean & onion burritos are much cheaper!

So, a lot of people think using a squirt gun to keep your cats from jumping on counters, destroying your couch, and eating all the lasagna is a good approach, but I disagree. Get an airzooka instead. You can squirt a cat until there's no water left on earth, and all it teaches the cat is that it's a good idea to close their eyes before you shoot them; the airzooka on the other hand is like an invisible old testament god is reaching down from the heavens to directly discipline them with fear. I seriously don't even have to shoot air at my cats anymore, as soon as they hear the sound of you pulling back the airzooka they head for the hills.

Spenser's gifts in the mall had one of these. Farted in it and sent it across the store at my friend. Seems like that could be the only extent i'd want one of these.

vote-for1vote-against

@williamsellari: Ya know, with a 22 rimfire you only have to shoot them once...

vote-for2vote-against

I made one of these with a small bucket (concrete mix), a trash bag, and an elastic underwear band. The cats hate it! It's impressive how the "ball" of air stays together long enough to travel like 15 feet. I've wanted to blow smoke into it to see the ring/vortex effect as it shoots.
I found a video of how to make one out of a storage container, Ziploc bag, and rubber band. I just scaled-up the components.

@ebvogelsang: It's perfect for that.

Anecdote: Nothing kept my Monster off from "popping" the carpet when he wanted outside (note - never at other times and always while staring right at me: "I know you hate this. Let me out and I'll stop.") until we got this thing. It's just air, but I got him once or twice and he hasn't done it AT ALL since then.

vote-for1vote-against

@williamsellari: Ditto. I just have to lift the gun. =D

These are cool for kids....but definitely get old quick. It's one of those gadgets that's fun for a gag, but then collects dust. My wife won't let me buy junk like this anymore. :(
