Has anyone ever used this company before? Looks like a decent deal

Cuisinart? Yes, of course. I have a set of pots, food processor, ice cream maker, etc. and very pleased with all of them.

I think I have this set or a very similar set. I have been using it for a year with no complaints, it works well.

@jarule: no no i ment the website sorry I wasn't more clear. I've heard of Cuisinart before XD

I used this company not but a week or so ago, they were selling a similar set with fewer pieces for $34. Product showed up to my house in good condition and in two days using the ground shipping method. They didn't update my tracking information until the product was delivered.

Over all I'd give them a "A" for the entire experience while using them.

FYI - Not dishwasher safe

Any good knives shouldn't be washed in a dishwasher. These wont fall apart or anything, but any good knife should be handled as such.

Can't get an order to go through... Anybody else having success recently?

I got some knives there a few weeks ago.

I had never heard of the site so I did real quick looking. At the bottom of the page it says "Copyright © 2010 Housewares Deals, a division of Lifetime Brands, Inc." So I looked up Lifetime Brands.

http://www.lifetimebrands.com/ - Lifetime Brands is North America’s leading resource for nationally branded kitchenware, tabletop and home décor products.

Their brands include - Farberware, KitchenAid, Mikasa, Cuisinart, Pfaltzgraff... hey wait, these all look familiar. So I strolled back to housewaredeals.com and went to the recent deals page. You will ONLY find items from the brands listed on Lifetime Brands page.

It's basically that company's closeout or liquidation site. Now, there is nothing wrong with that, but it just felt weird finding out that relationship.

With all that being said, I did still buy knives from them...

Thanks for the deal! I ordered 2 sets for wedding gifts.

I had an order go through earlier, no problems at all.

As of 10:24pm PST, the page is showing a plate set. Guess I was too late. :(

Looks like this deal is done...

@doyle991 Knives as a gift? I'd caution against it. I don't have a problem with getting that but if the person you are giving it to is superstitious they wont take the gift. I found this out the hard way trying to update my mother-in-law's knife set.

vote-for1vote-against

"$45 for $45.00" that sounds like a waste of time!

@kobrate - The superstition is that giving knifes as a gift will "cut" your friendship, so you should attach a penny to the package so the receiver can "buy" it from you by giving you the penny back.

I've seen people do this since I was a child, apparently it's a common superstition.

@kobrate: thanks for the warning but a day late and a dollar short, lol. Gave my son's gf some knives a while back and now she dislikes me...perhaps that was my first mistake! and @gnomercy wish I had known that superstition.

Knives arrived yesterday and all the ladies in the office were envious when they found out about the great deal I got.
