If you don't own a pear tree, these are the best tasting pears you will ever buy. Yes, they're expensive but they make great gifts and are so juicy and delicious that you'll want more. Store bought pears will never taste the same.

For twelve dollars at our local farm we can get a bussel of locally grown pears that are great.... That's around 35 pears. I don't care if there's gold in the center, these be a rip off!

I guess there's the saying A fool and his money...

They are extremely good pears, but living in the Northeast, I'll stick with my cheap and delicious apples. I can't imagine spending $3 for a piece of fruit. Then again, that's probably why I don't order Edible Arrangements, cut flowers, or any other mail order food items. In the grand scheme of mail ordering, this is probably one of the best items I can think of receiving.

Wow...I paid that for my 2 pear TREES...and they just keep on giving fruit for FREE.

Oh yes, these are expensive! I thought a long time before I bought them the 1st time. BUT, the difference between these and store-bought can't be compared. Not even close. To me, it's like comparing the $5 bottle of cab sauv to a $40 bottle. Or a faux designer perfume w/the real one. ...A cube steak to a filet mignon. Not the same at all.

These are huge, juicy beyond belief and taste like pears. I stopped buying them in the store years ago...they were hard, dry and tasted like cardboard even when fully ripened. I'd forgotten what pears were supposed to taste like.

Had been hoping for a free shipping offer; thought I'd share it.

Note: This offer ends on November 21.

Harry and David's Pears are the most amazing I've ever had. And the biggest. And the juiciest. And the sweetest. I gladly pay every year for these pears because my family LOVES them and I do, too. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? EVERY PENNY.

Someone asked a question on AtC (Ask the Community) a while back: (paraphrased) "Do you buy items you post on deals?" Me? No. In this case, I have. I placed 3 orders for the 18 pear boxes. One was to wish them Happy Birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter greetings...and, more importantly a Thank You for their kindness & help to me. Another was for a friend...just an I love you gift...glad you're in my life. The 3rd was for ME. Yes, me because I'm worth it.

Again, I do agree these pears are expensive. But...if you've ever had them, you'll understand why. They're premium. Or beyond.

Not much time left to get free shipping.
