Wow, they both worked. Thanks!

Awesome addition to my $4 credit from the music deal a while back. $10 down only a few to go for a free movie!

vote-for1vote-against

Just want to add, this might only apply to certain videos, so be careful. One season of a tv show used the credit, while four episodes of another tv show charged me.

vote-for3vote-against

Works toward Avatar only. If you try it toward another movie, your credit card will be charged.

vote-for1vote-against

Interesting, in the terms and conditions it specifies that credit may apply only to specific stores, but it doesn't say specific titles. I wonder if it is one, or both of the codes that only applies to Avatar, or if the full $6 credit can be used anywhere in unbox. Someone be a guinea pig.

vote-for1vote-against

Little did I know I already had a $4 credit. These two codes brought me up to $10. Thanks!!

vote-for1vote-against

awesome, now i don't steal the new Futurama! just kidding Rupert.

Now this?

THIS is a deal. Sure, it isn't a $20,000 jetpack or a $30 three wolf zombie bacon shirt, but it IS of real value instead of only a curiosity.

Flame on.

Ok folks. I contacted Amazon about being charged and not credited, and requested a refund (see my earlier comment). I had little hope of getting one since I already downloaded (but didn't view) the episodes. They explained that you can only use the promotional credit towards the purchase of eligible NBC shows from Amazon Video On Demand and specifically for the movie "Avatar". They gave me these links:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000407851

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LFLOOW

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EVWDR0

And, best of all, they refunded my money and told me to reuse the promotional codes. They revoked the license of the shows. They did say it is not generally their policy but they did so because of the circumstances. I love Amazon.

mtlgrl: Can you or anyone else tell me the difference between the two Avatar links?

I'd like to watch the HD version on my TiVo, but I'm not sure the HD version is eligible.

vote-for1vote-against

HD Version IS eligible for $4.5
Watching it on Sony BD player Amazon video on demand.
Apply both codes in your browser prior to starting it on your device.

vote-for3vote-against

It says down in the Product Details:

ASIN: B003LFLOOW (Rental) and B003EVWDR0 (Purchase)

So that would be the difference between the 2 links.

bourasma & brio96: Muchas gracias.

vote-for3vote-against

Disappointing. Deal should be edited to indicate that it works only for very limited videos.

vote-for2vote-against

yeah deal really should be edited, i rented book of eli before someone stated this deal wouldn't work for it - soo super lame

vote-for1vote-against

Great deal, better than a red box code for sure!

vote-for1vote-against

So how do you get credit for following them? It doesn't say anything about it on that web site.

vote-for1vote-against

If you have just started following us on Twitter, we'll send you a code within 48 hours.

vote-for2vote-against

Ditto mtrlgrl's comment. I tried buying Shawshank Redemption and was instead charged from my gift card balance. I was also told the credits only applied to Avatar and was given the same links.

I still love Amazon, but their 1-Click ordering system never gives you the chance to find out what they're charging before the transaction is complete. I have 1-Click turned off under my preferences and was still charged automatically.

This would be great for someone with high speed broadband but when I tried it they said it would take 20 hrs to download a show so it's pretty worthless.

vote-for1vote-against

Awesome. You would have to be crazy to pass this one up!

vote-for1vote-against

I also just got screwed out of $2.99. Sent an e-mail, hopefully they will refund my money. I just wanted to test the service. Test fail. Blah, they need to explain things better! Oh well, better $3 then $20. Glad to see others got a refund, I'm sure I will as well.

Wish they showed Dexter as eligible. The system seems overly complicated as to eligible or not. a show is but season may not? Ok why not tell me x is not? A simple color code could be used. The codes are nice but the terms boarder on scams to get $ you did not intend to spend. As you can see from the reply's above a few have already gotten burned.

vote-for1vote-against

The whole problem that is happening is the one-click way of ordering, as mentioned by @tleasel. If Amazon had it so you could preview what you are being charged for videos, mp3's, then you'd see if the credit was being applied or not.

vote-for1vote-against

I never got any code for $10 for following them on Twitter and I entered 3 $3 codes and only got $6 credit so it looks like that was just a scam.

vote-for1vote-against

@stevec5000: I got the Twitter credit. Maybe it was only for a limited time. Why don't you send them a tweet?

vote-for1vote-against

@mtrlgrl, they sent me a message saying to look for the code within 48 hrs but there was never any code. Well, it's not worth anything anyway because I can't get FIOS and I don't have time to wait for a 20 hr. download.

vote-for0vote-against

@hendubble: I tried it for Avatar and was charged for it.

Or you could try Prizerebel, it's a free website in which you can do surveys to get money fast. No personal information required if you don't wish to give it. They just email you the amazon gift card codes and the surveys you can use all false information on or they don't always require any. I have made over $500 in amazon gift cards on this website over the last few years, but I do not use it that often xD. Good Luck
