I'm more of a Vertigo type of guy.
im in for one
+5.99 shipping. I'm in for one.
Oh man, I already have a couple of these X-Men #1s.
$5.99 shipping, but that's a mess load of comics. I'm in!
I'm considering it, but I wonder how many of the random comics I already have.
I for one, would like to see more deals with graphic novels & comics. good find op
Went for it. 50 comics for $15? Can't beat that.
In for one. Great deal
I am also in for one. My two boys will love this. Great deal, thanks for posting.
This will keep the nephews busy for an hour or so... In for 1
As a loooooong time comic collector, be careful if you're ordering these for investment purposes. Comics are graded on a scale from 1 - 10. So them listing all five of these as 9.8's is a lofty expectation to meet. A 9.8 grade isn't common, even for new comics.
If you are investing in this issue, be prepared to wait a long time on your return. I have about 10 copies of the issue already with the various covers and I'm sure if these have been sitting in a warehouse somewhere, there are thousands more sitting bagged and boarded in basements everywhere.
This is a great price. I bought them in 1991 and they cost just as much without the extra comics thrown in
Great find OP! This will make awesome gifts.. In for two.
Fantastic deal. The X-men go in the collection, the 45 get thrown to the wolves (kids).
Wonderful! I've been looking for a good excuse to buy more comics! Thanks!
Correct me if I'm wrong (it's been a while since I've looked into collecting comics), but doesn't that little Captain America face at the bottom of the page where a bar code should be imply that these are reprints and for entertainment value only (i.e. wouldn't be worth anything as an investment even if they weren't commonly availible). That being said, a mystery pack of 50 comics sounds fun. Wonder what brands are included.
@jones141: Correcting you, you're wrong. Captain America appeared first in 1941. These issues are 1991, hence 50 years Captain America symbol. They are not reprints, these are the real deal from 1991. Now, this wasn't the first launch of X-men, that was 1963, and you certainly aren't going to find them this cheap, but for the modern X-men series, this is issue #1.
@geode: I wasn't trying to suggest an anachronism, I know the rough timelines involved. But I remembered hearing something once about bar code VS some pic. After a quick google, seems what I heard probably refered to a specific printing of some comic from my childhood and not a rule of thumb.
I would have sold you ten of mine for that price. (mod edit: profanity) 90s comics...
i also got one too, can't go wrong with X-Men
I got this deal just for the mystery part. Those X-men comics are worthless since so many were printed. The bar code vs. pic is actually from the old days of comic book stores. Back in the day comic book stores had a little picture where the retail copies had the bar code. It didn't affect the value of the comic, though a lot of us back then preferred a little pic to a bar code.
I'm thinking there should be a few good ones somewhere in the pile, so I'm in for 1.
In for one. I want to see what the other 45 comics are. Maybe a diamond in the rough?
ordered and barely gave it a thought.
it looks like i struck a gold mine here. i was organizing my comics last week and two of the things I thought of were:
1) I only have one of the variant covers for Xmen #1. One of these days, I'll get the others. Well lookie here.
2) I have a lot of trade paperbacks, but not so many single issues. been wanting to just get a lot of random comics.....well lookie here.
Not a bargain!
