I think those coupons also work in the store. Save on shipping.

If this is the same one my kid has, it's really cool. You press the button, and the LED's sequence up like the sabre is extending. Then it makes the appropriate sounds as you wave it around, and when it hits something, it makes the "CRASH" sound you'd expect and blinks.

My kids play with it constantly. And "grandma" paid full price for it.

Is there a better thumbnail photo to go with this? I don't know about other people's monitors, but I can barely tell that this is a lightsaber from the picture.

Can anyone confirm if this is the fancy light saber that makes noises while waving around? Because those were retailing for $99 when they came out, doubt this is it.

The one's that were in the $100 range were made by a company called Master Replicas. They either sold the design to Hasbro, or Hasbro figured a way to make them themselves and at a cheaper cost so, while it's not technically one of the $100, it IS basically the same thing with a little more plastic than metal. Hasbro's versions retail around $40 so this is not a bad deal.

@guitardrainer: They started last year making a cheaper version. It's shorter, and the handle is made of plastic, but the blade effect and sounds are the same. They are actually quite nice, and for the price a bargain.

This is the RED light saber. The BLUE was a Anakin Skywalker light saber, I believe, and much more popular than the Darth - hence, only red on sale today.

I got the blue one for the same price nice!

@buck mulligan,
actually Anakin's is on sale as well. With the same two codes even.

I've got the red and the blue ones for my boys (and me sometimes) to have epic battles. They are very well made for a toy. These are NOT the same as the $100+ ones you have seen, but if you are buying them for your kid to smash things with, go with this. There is also a green one that is much tougher to find. I actually saw one for sale at the GAP oddly enough.

@tcanning: How do you use those codes in the store?

@mikecruz101@yahoo.com: the $5 off coupon can be printed from target.com...but the $8 off coupon is no longer on their website. Luckily for you, someone was kind enough to capture it before they took it down: http://www.mediafire.com/?r54ocoucu818hyb

Thanks Superstover. I printed out your $8 one. How do you print the $5 coupon from Target.com? I;m sure I'm missing something easy here but I don't see it. Thanks.

nm... searched their site for coupons and it came right on the front page with a bunch of others. I did have to install their coupon print activator as well.

Here's a review on Anakin's saber. looks legit, there are other videos of kids fighting with them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZU7fafCOvI

Just picked up two in-store. Cashier wouldn't let me use multiple coupons per item :( so I ended up using one $8 dollar coupon on each (Thanks, superstover!). Saved shipping, so I still got them down to $23.70 each. Good deal, especially since one of the sabers I picked up was Luke's green one :D

I bought 2 today in store and was able to use two coupons on each one. They had a green skywalker one that I might go back and get too. She did say I needed to print them all out to be able to use them, i.e 4 total printouts to buy 2 with 2 coupons each.

I was able to order one today for $16.14 + tax and free shipping thanks to my Target VISA. How did I not know about this benefit before?
