Gold plated Tungsten Carbide... Sounds like it will be just Tungsten Carbide with a few flakes of gold on it within a few years or use.

You cannot use it magnarinfectus, no one can!

One does not simply post onto deals.woot.

Oh wait, maybe they do. Crap.

Hope I remembered my ring size correctly lol.

@magnarinfectus: FWIW, I've had one of these for close to a year, and it gets near-constant wear (I actually wear it as a wedding band). My work is very physical and rather hard on the hands. I have hit this ring on surfaces that would gouge gold, and aside from a little dirt easily taken off in a simple cleaning, the ring STILL looks as good as new. (I had bought 2 on a $10/each deal, because I was worried about the same, the possibility of wear and scratching. Nothing has made a mark yet.)

I have one as well, the gold does scratch. But I love it anyway! I have taken to hanging mine around my neck from a chain.... because I'm a nerd. It's the simple things in life, right?

It's like... I can't resist... buying this...

It's so precious.

Tungsten carbide is a hard ceramic, it will break before it scratches/dents. And yes, it can break.
