These look exactly like what I bought off Amazon a few months ago for $6 each. Mine has gone from awesome to unreliable in 4 months. Whether it's bad wiring or a bad emitter, the beam intensity fluctuates often, and it just shuts off entirely at times. I don't know, maybe it just doesn't like cold weather.

@trybble: I bought some on amazon and from pulsetv, and the i-Zoom one has worked just fine for me. I read some reviews on Amazon saying they were shipping different brands/from different factories, so I guess they are a little inconsistant. But it's true that most batteries/flashlights do suffer in the cold.
