the only other available Amazon Prime color is Matte Black which sells for 62.99. My in-laws have this coffeemaker and love it. It has been on my amazon wish list for awhile.

Had one of these for more than 10 years. They just won't die. And this is a fantastic price. If you need a coffee pot, you won't find a better one at any price. Besides, this is the one you see on two and a half men. ;) If it's good enuff for Charlie, it's good enuff for anyone!

We got the DCC-1100 and don't see much diference except the looks. It's the best coffee maker we've ever owned and we've had plenty. Some $100 ones, mostly cheapies. Well worth it.

Folks, this is definitely not a bad coffee maker and I am a big fan of Cuisinart. However, I would wait for the one with the steel coffee pot. I have the Cuisinart 10 cup grind and brew. And I can tell you that hours after I shut off the coffee maker the coffee inside the steel coffee pot is still perfect for serving. Just my two cents.

We own one of these and have been using it 1-2 times a day for about 2 years now. It's a great coffeemaker, and one of the best we've had for brewing a classic columbian cup. Best recipe we've found (which of course depends on your coffeemaker as they all use different temperatures and drip rates): fill with water to 6 cup line, add 5 scoops columbian (we use Melita generally), and press the 1-4 cup button to slow down the drip and lower the temperature slightly. If you want more coffee, can fill to 8 cups and 7 scoops and don't press the button.

Paid $90.00 bucks for this same machine years back. It makes great coffee at a good temp. Most brewers are underpowered and so don't get the water hot enough to make proper coffee. This on the other hand will make great coffee for years to come.
