Did anyone understand the ending of The Shining? The camera going down the hallway closer to the B/W pictures at the end of the hall where Johnny is at a dance in the same hotel in 1921?

@rmsalt: I always took it to mean he'd been essentially absorbed by the hotel, that his spirit was trapped there like all the others who show up as ghosts.

I haven't read the novel though, maybe it makes it more clear.
