To tout its first Slurpee®-branded, sugar-free frozen drink, Slurpee Lite, and launch the upcoming Slurpee season, billed as the “Flavors of Summer,” 7-Eleven, Inc. has created SlurpFree Day. SlurpFREE Day is an opportunity for our guests to enjoy a free 7.11 ounce Slurpee drink between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time Wednesday, May 23, at participating 7-Eleven stores across the U.S.7-Eleven stores will do it all over again six weeks later – free Slurpee drinks that is – on 7-Eleven Day, or July 11, when the retailer will celebrate its birthday as it does each year.

@vistaseas: I believe you may have posted too early. You have to post the day of.. not the day before, unfortunately.
@vistaseas: Actually, the rule is that you can't post a deal till it goes "live". That's very likely the reason why it was taken down. I'm going to go to the website and try to find out what kind of sugar substitute they are using, as Splenda, which gives me migraines, is making unfortunate inroads into the diet drink market. If they are using aspertame, I will be making a swing by 7-11 this evening to try a mini diet slurpee. I wonder how many people will be on here crying about getting a tiny little slurpee when they were expecting a big one?

Wish we still had 7-11s here in South Dakota! They closed awhile back ... I went to them every day when I lived in Austin though, great coffee.

We have 7-11s in Oklahoma, but they aren't the same 7-11's. Thanks to some old deal back in the 70s, they are a franchise. The main difference? No Slurpees, only the Icy Drink. Different flavors, no diet.

It's interesting that they advertise "50% fewer calories" but then give this example: "Compared to a regular 8oz. Slurpee Fanta Wild Cherry. Regular Slurpee Fanta Wild Cherry: 66 calories per 8 fl. oz (240mL). Slurpee Lite Mango: 20 calories per 8 fl. oz (240mL)." Last I checked, 20 wasn't 50% less than 66...it's actually about 70% less.
