I bought these a few weeks ago via Moofi - for $99 a pair. They are really nice speakers and sound great (for their size). We put them out on the deck and they're awesome.
I may pick up a second pair for near our hot tub.

Curious, The Amazon site says it needs 2 AA batteries(included), Why would a speaker need batteries. They aren't self powered in any way. Must be a typo.
Sorry to be so slow, but I'm confused. How do these work--are these wireless? Do they need a special receiver? Will they work with just my t.v.? If I have to run wires, thanks but no thanks.
@pvandehey: These are wired speakers without a built-in amplifier, so they would need to be connected by speaker wire to an amplified source (e.g. a/v receiver or stereo speaker-out), like regular floor speakers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Nothing about batteries at the following sites, looks like the seller on Amazon incorrectly listed batteries.

@pvandehey: They're standard speakers. You hook them up just like any other normal speakers ;)
@waj: These speakers definitely don't take batteries (I own them)
I bought a pair of these from woot when they were on, and one of the speakers lasted all of a half hour before it died. I contacted Xantech to try and get warranty service but they said no. So I tried woot, but woot said thay didn't have any more to exchange so I had to return the pair (after they had been installed!). I'm still waiting for my refund.
The one speaker sounded "okay", but not as good as the Boston's they were replacing. For the price they would have been acceptable. But I've since bought others to replace these since they were DOA.
Now if I could only get my refund.....
Bought these on Woot last time I saw them, and they sound great!! I'm very happy with them.
Bought a second pair tonight. I really like these.
