@wicked365: Do yourself a favor and buy a Razer Onza instead, same price, but improved functionality means a much better controller. Extended triggers for faster reaciton time, d-pad is 4 indivudual buttons, colored the buttons are backlit and actually click when you press them, and there are 2 remappable bumpers in additon to the standard ones. You can even adjust the resistance on the joysticks! Last controller you'll buy.

@woothulhu: If you play a lot of fighting games, I would recommend against the separate directional buttons. In most third party made controllers that I've used, a noticeable dead zone issue is present, so I'd be wary about that too. If anyone is interested in the Razer Onza, you should check out reviews on Amazon. Since they lowered the price, I am interested in trying it, but from what I've read, there is still a lot to be desired.

I use the monochrome controller (the first edition with the transformable D-pad) and I've had a great experience with it so far, so I would recommend it. If you're looking for something with added capabilities, look into the Onza, but some of the functions don't seem as flushed out (according to reviewers), which is why I'm still a bit leery.

You can get this controller minus the fancy paintjob with a play and charge kit for about the same price [on sale]. Sometimes cheaper (it goes on sale a LOT)

@willofice: I play a lot of games period, and while I'm familiar with the issues you detailed, I wouldn't recommend this without fully believing this is the best controller on the market for the money.

No dead zones.
No issues with D-pad.

Everything works better than the standard; the only thing that might take getting used to is the extended triggers, which basically extend the lever making firing reactions faster...
