Aren't mints supposed to make your breath smell better? What on earth would I have to eat before these made my breath smell better?

vote-for1vote-against

Maybe use them to cover up the smell of alcohol in your breath? Mints actually increase your BAC so I'd say it's a pretty good idea....

deff keep the mosquitoes at bay i guess, and also the ladies. which are blood suckers to!

@gopvifootball: Mints don't increase your BAC. They increase the reading you would get if you did a breath-test, but the increase is unrealistically high. There would be no mistake that something went wrong.

Pretty good for repelling the vampires

Am I the only one who LIKES the smell of garlic?

vote-for21vote-against

First of all, these mints are quite tasty.

Now, as a man who loves garlic more than any other spice (sometimes I like to think of them as vegetables and treat them as such in some meals I prepare) these mints aren't all that garlicky. They do, in fact, make your breath smell good and not at all like garlic. When I was given them as a gift I truly hoped that they would be a garlic explosion that would drive all of my coworkers away but they actually make your breath smell good while tasting slightly of garlic.

I implore science to invest time in creating a delicious garlic "mint" that will be so strong that it makes my pores exude the same garlic funk as the times I go on insane garlic benders that causes mosquitoes to burst into flames when they fly within three feet of me. Meanwhile, I will enjoy these.

Also, my wife thanks the creators of this mint for not taking it to the extremes I long for.

Or have these for when someone asks you if you have a mint and give them these garlic mints.... they would never ask you for mints again. Might have to buy some.

Only Alfalfa would like these.

Actually, normal mints do nothing at all when you take a breath-test. Mythbusters tried it with an entire package of mints in their mouths.

@batkooy: buy some "Red Russian" heirloom garlic and just munch on a cloves of that.
It's so powerful that it's almost inedible. I love it, when I can find some that is.
Try your local farmer's market.

I think it's only mouthwash that increases your breathalyzer readings. Not mints.

vote-for1vote-against

@histumness: Yes, I think Mythbusters found that mouthwash increases the BAC reading while mints do nothing. Good call.

vote-for1vote-against

@garebear459: That would be because mouthwash HAS ALCOHOL IN IT!

Although, alcoholic mints...Talk to marketing about that and see if they can have it ready by Friday.

@darthninja: it doesn't have the same type of alcohol that a beer does though...which is why you do not want to drink it.

@darthninja: As soon as I empty this tin, I'm filling it with real garlic cloves for my emergency garlic needs.
