yeah it cant get any cheaper than this, at least until the roku 3 comes out. I got the roku 2 hd last week on woot for 47.99, may have to pick one of these up too as a gift.

Product says you need a High-speed Internet service with a speed of at least 1.2 Mbps (such as mid-level DSL. My wireless speed is 1.08 Mbps. Does anyone know if this will this work at all or just be slow?

@snksknr: Uh, I can still add it to my cart for $45...

@snksknr It's showing up as $45 for me, too. I have the Roku 2 HD and I love it. They just put up a digital Yule log!

@pacoman333: I've run it on 1.0mb service. You can't get HD at that speed, it will just be low resolution SD but it's still watchable. My biggest problem was a data cap that preventing watching much though.

Pretty good deal, considering used and re-furb HDs are going for $45 - $50. HDs have more output choices, but only support g.

@stevec5000: Thanks for the info. It is definitely a good alternative to $60 monthly satellite service.

I bought the HD last week and received it yesterday and so far, I LOVE IT :) We have basic cable and only pay $10 a month, so it isn't really going to save oodles of money, but I love it anyways :)

Just an observation... it seems that Amazon price matched Best Buy's price on this Roku LT. It shows 44.99 on Best Buy's website, but it is sold out.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Roku+-+LT+Streaming+Player/4071495.p?id=1218453596341&skuId=4071495&st=roku&cp=1&lp=3

Maybe once Amazon realizes Best Buy's deal is sold out, they'll increase their price back to $49.99?

I just got this model a few weeks ago and it's great. Only problem I had was pretty specific to my setup. My TV doesn't have an HDMI input, but does have a DVI with RCA inputs for stereo audio. I tried using an HDMI-to-DVI adapter with the Roku and the video worked fine. Unfortunately the output for the composite/stero breakout cable is too close to the HDMI output for both to be plugged in at once. The DVI part of the adapter was too wide, BUT I was able to use an HDMI-to-DVI all in one cable just fine. Like I said, REALLY specific, but there may be someone else out there looking to use this in the same way and wanted to give a heads up.

Good job Wooters, you killed the deal! Maybe @rsantos2 was right. I hope those who wanted it grabbed it!
