no star wars lego slave 1 :(

@mx023: Try going to an actual store location. I was amazed what all they still had.

vote-for8vote-against

Good idea to grab some to put away for Christmas and/or birthdays.

I would consider this a decent sale, but not really clearance pricing.

Some LEGOs are very reduced. Last week they had more stock.
The problem for me is that there no K-Mart stores in Texas (that I am aware of) and the ones with the reduced price are only available for "store pickup" :(

vote-for5vote-against

@krlex: There are actually K-Marts throughout Texas, just may not be one near you though.
Check here:http://www.allstays.com/c/kmart-texas-locations.htm
I haven't verified all of the list, but did some spot checking from it with Kmart.com, and seems accurate.

k-mart is about the worst store out there. At least the ones in my area. Dirty (floors look like they've never been replaced and they are way beyond just cleaning), merchandise littered about, no employees working, the ones that are working are not being managed correctly. Inventory is terrible, the store looks like its going out of business even when it is business as usual.

Just terrible.

Love my Kmart and I'll be scoping out this sale

@dgiambo1: You just described the KMart nearest to my neighborhood. I try to give them my business, but more often than not, they are out of what I want...sad really that they let it get so run down.

@therealjrn: Same here. I have been to Kmarts in Alaska, Idaho, and Washington in the last 10 years and they all suck. There is no way they will survive another 10 years with competition like WalMart, Target, and Fred Meyers.Even though I hate WalMart, they are always packed while Kmart is a ghost town. I live in England now and WalMart (ASDA) is dominating over here also. Good bye Blue Light Special

Trying to click on the link tries to take me to some "anrdoezrs" site, I'm guessing some useless referral. I wouldn't notice except my work computer thankfully blocks that bull(profanity) Anyway, for those who want a link directly to the sale: http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/search=lego%20clearance?storeId=10151&catalogId=10104&vName=Toys+%26+Games&viewItems=25&autoRedirect=true&redirectType=CAT_REC

Or just search the site for "lego clearance."

@omnihilo: It's a Commission Junction link.

The KMart in my area is a pitiful dump. Why on earth it didn't make the list to be closed is beyond me. Last time I was there half the lights were off, the displays were a mess, merchandise was scattered on the floor in the aisles, prices were impossible to find, many items were out of stock, and employees were almost inexistant.
I somehow managed to find one of the things I went there to buy, and found no employees at the registers (only a geriatric "security guard"). Rather than wait for an employee to magically appear to ring up my purchases, I abandoned them on the register belt and left.
In other words, the place makes the neighborhood WalMart look like Macy's.

To make me even think of going into a K-mart we have to be talking at least 50% off, and even then I might decide it's not worth the pain. This level of "clearance" can be found at Toy's r Us and their regular BOGO sale (though admittedly not right now).

and this is listed on Woot because . . . ?

vote-for7vote-against

Am I the only person with a K-Mart that isn't a cesspool?

That said, this isn't much of a deal. Small number of kits, most of which aren't anything worth buying anyway.

vote-for1vote-against

You're right @jblood these are more than 200 miles away from Houston.
I did a search on their website for 300mi (max they support) around Houston and Dallas and they showed this "Unfortunately, we could not find any stores, within 300 miles of your location".
I just searched again and the "closest" would be within 75 miles of Austin, TX that is about 180 miles from here. I think their search tool doesn't work very well ;)

I agree that Kmart is kind of a dump. Thankfully, mine is relatively clean. The universal problem seems to be that there are hardly any employees actively working in the store. Typically, 5 or 6 workers seem responsible for the entire building, as opposed to seemingly 50 or 60 at Target. But one reason why you might still shop at Kmart is for video games. They often have better deals than anybody, including Amazon. The problem is, you have to find an employee to open the locked case and ring you up (check in the grocery section).

@krlex After a recent expererience driving past a home depot on the way to the "closest" one referred by their website, I've switched to using google rather than most corporate sites to search for locations. It sounds like K-Mart should be added to that list.

vote-for0vote-against

I've actually never been in a Kmart that carried shirts smaller than XXXL myself...

Sweet, great way to start my 1 yr old's Lego Collection!

vote-for1vote-against

Are lego sale in store only. I don't see any lego clearance online.
