Excellent! I've been thinking about one of these for my protein drinks! I guess I found the way I'll spend my coupon!

i had one of these and it was awesome, then it fell off the top of the fridge and broke... add liquid first, then add powders.

I wonder if this would work with those whiskey stones I just bought from sellout.woot...

Nifty. I drink a lot of water with powdered flavor mixes, this'll be perfect for mixing them up. Beats shaking it like crazy.

@dergage OMG please try it! But only if you record the whole thing and put it on youtube... Title it "How to break a blender bottle in 5 seconds"

If you're considering this for protein shakes don't bother.

Powder sticks to the sides like crazy no matter what you do and it mixes worse than the tradition shaker cups do.
I made the mistake of buying a few last time these were up, save your money.

@ploeg8393 Every time I see one of your posts it makes me smile, because I realize that my life is not nearly as pathetic... Thank you for the constant reminder! Troll away my friend, troll away.

@kbause2003 i used mine for protein all the time, didn't stick to the sides for me... maybe it was the brand of protein you used.

I've used mine that I bought last time they were offered with protein shakes and Slimfast shakes with no problems at all.
Try pouring in the powder while the mixer is on/mixing, not just statically dropping everything in then mixing.
As for as quality goes, they are cheaply made, but at $7.50 each compared to a $5 for a simple shaker cup, I would buy these again.

I bought these last time there were on here, and they are awesome. First of all, they are quiet, so one concern gone. They mix very well from Carnation Instant Breakfast to smoothies. I haven't put crushed ice in one, rather not risk it, but they are overall a great deal and comes in handy more often than you'd think.

@kschom: I had a similar mixer product and I also found it did not work well with protien powder.

@the18thtee84: From what I've been reading about those stones, though, it probably won't make my shake any cooler, it'll probably just keep my shake at the same temperature... Haha.

@the7654: hmm fair enough, the one i had i only used with protein powder... and like i already said, no issues for me.

Disgusting as that Real Actual Field Test was, Randall's egg thing reminds me of how Waffle House mixes up eggs for their omelets. Mmm... fluffy, fluffy omelets... Must buy and make breakfast...

I was on the fence until I watched the video. Um... dude, it's one thing to break my heart with a tale of parenting futility, like the kids.woot writers often do. But it's another thing to have me associate a product with a Woot-branded barf bag.

(Also, the powder totally stuck to the side. But really, save the nasty stuff for upchuck.woot.com)
