Great discount from the original price.

But from the reviews, not really that great of a stand.

I think it would be a lot better if there was a little bit of cushion at the bottom. Having this on your lap for an extended period of time seems like it would be very uncomfortable, however the price is great.

@lichme: I... don't think this is a lap desk. It's meant to be used on your desk, I think.

Amazon has 3 reviews--all good. It's $6.99--I'll take 2 because even if it's not the greatest there are various uses like others have said: tablet, etc :D

vote-for4vote-against

this one works well for 15.6" and below and most surprisingly works well with tablets

vote-for2vote-against

I have this. I threw it away--just not very useful.

Well, at this price, I'll try a couple. I'm going to use them for book stands in my after school program. If they don't hold up there, I heard I'm getting a couple of tablet computers to pilot for my school. Thanks for the link(s).

Looks like what I've wanted for a while now. I do my web surfing while lying down and usually use a book to prop up the back. I couldn't see spending more than ten bucks for a stand, and most of what I've seen come up short in one way or another. This meets my cheapness factor and, with the lip at the front, will hopefully keep my laptop from sliding off.

Bought one. I have a stand up desk in my kitchen where I primarily use my laptop. I have a wireless keyboard, and have been using the keyboard box as my laptop stand ... yay, lenovo! Now I can really prop it up!

why don't they ever state what kind of plastics such things are made of? i don't need any more stuff tainted w/flame retardants, plastizisers, other toxins. don't see weight...

I use one of these with a Thinkpad along with an external mouse and keyboard. Its purpose is to elevate the laptop screen to a more comfortable level. This in turn makes the keyboard and trackpoint not very usable, but I knew that when I bought it for about the same price several months ago.

The stand is not designed to use on your lap - at least not without a solid lap desk. It's great on a flat surface with a keyboard / mouse.

when does this sale end?

vote-for1vote-against

Must no longer be on sale.

vote-for1vote-against

Maybe I ate two much lead paint as a kid but I can't get the coupon code to be accepted - so yeah maybe sale is over

vote-for2vote-against

@triciao: It still works. You need to enter the coupon code.

This website has a BAD rating on WebOfTrust. Don't go!

I got a "notebook stand" for Xmas and didn't know what to do with it. I mean, how useful is it compared to say.... a table? You still have to have a table to use it effectively, so what gives?
Anyway, I still have it and I am surprised how I'm actually using the thing, even though it has no useful purpose whatsoever. I'd pass, unless it was free. :\

I bought 3 of these a few weeks ago to show off laptops that I sell and THEY'RE GREAT!

Yes, you DO need a solid table or desk to sit it on.
Yes, it does make plugging in a microphone or speakers difficult (if these plugs are on the front edge of your laptop).
NO, it isn't 'angle adjustable'.

But if you're in front of a coffee table (maybe watching TV), it raises the display and brings the keyboard up to a nice angle for typing small amounts of data, like passwords. I wouldn't recommend it for typing big things.

I just ordered 3 more... They're a steal at this price!!!

This should work well for my Thrive for couch surfing. It's current cover/stand is too steep for that purpose, but the angle on the Lenovo product looks just right. The coupon code worked perfectly for me, so if you had a problem earlier, try again. I was using Firefox if that helps.

Also, you may be charged sales tax (I was), and if so, the initial amount shown for tax appears to be based on the original $25 price; however, the final amount charged is based upon the discounted price.

I have this. I paid just a little bit more for it. It is so worth it. I use it in the bed for my ipad. It works great. Can watch movies and just prop it up just right. I love mine and highly recommend it! :)

@kdulcimer: I got mine at this site a few months ago and had no problem. It is a great item.

vote-for1vote-against

I just use a cat, as there's generally one handy when I assume the position (ie, lounge in bed to watch Letterman) and haul out my netbook.

vote-for1vote-against

@testmonkey:
That one has no adjustment, and is fixed at a much lower angle.

vote-for1vote-against

I am purchasing one, why is the tax 1.49 for a 6.99 item?

vote-for1vote-against

@yuqimao: Read my post about 6 or 7 above yours for what I intended would be helpful information.

vote-for1vote-against

In for 2. Coupon code worked great. Going to use with my Sony S Tablet for reading etc.
