For you Star Trek fans out there... everyone knows that the poor fellow in the Red Uniform in the away missions would invariably expire. Here is Expendable, the t-shirt in tribute to the one true expendable in the sci-fi universe...the ensign red shirt. "For every bold action by James T. Kirk, somewhere there's an unfortunate red shirt dealing with the consequences." Too funny!

Teefury's shirts have been blowing away the stuff at shirt.woot.com lately. Woot seems to shy away from specific pop culture references (Star Wars, Trek, Lost, etc) while Teefury embraces them.

On April 1, I bought the Woot Lights with Free T-shirt Coupon Code, and I haven't even been tempted by a Woot shirt since then.

This is a running gag in my family. "Never be the guy in the red shirt". This is obviously a must buy :)

@kidkobun: This shirt is only available for 24 hours, after that it is gone. Yes, it is not on "sale", but it is only available for a limited time. While some may hate posting of items that are not on sale, others appreciate being alerted to something that is available for a short period of time. There have been plenty of "deals" here on deals.woot that were not particularly inexpensive, but I've been interested in seeing the deal as I wouldn't have come across it otherwise. Obviously to each his own. Cheers

@wonderwooter: It is also a running gag in my household about who will be the episode's random red-shirted guy to be killed on the away mission. Last year, when Star Trek (reboot movie) Halloween costumes were plentiful, my son wanted the Scottie costume, but he told everyone that he was the random red-shirted sacrificial crew member. "Deal" or not, this shirt is a find for us. :)

Well, at least it was funnier than thinkgeek's version: just a red shirt with "Expendable" across the front. Not much of a joke when you need to explain it. This one was better.

@tonymontana444: spend a few minutes looking through teefury's recent gallery of shirts and you'll see that many of them never make it to Deals. a decent amount do make it since teefury doesn't shy away from pop culture references like Woot tends to (like @tcanning said). if you've got a problem, it is probably with the demographic of people who vote these deals up. and you're not likely to get them all to leave Deals :)
