These speakers BUMP! They're the best 2.1's I've ever heard and the price is about $65 less than on Newegg.

Last week I went for all the dented box deals (PC/Gaming speakers, Squeezebox Duet, and wireless desktop) So far the speakers...the speakers rock! The electronica I like sounds better than my regular stereo. Its the bass; they really have a clear bass sound that puts my original Bose w/SW and four satellites to shame. Although the speakers I got were different than these (SW & 4 satellites), I would think that for $70 less, the SW and two mains will probably sound as good. Thank you, prettywootprincess, for these great 'dented box' deals! By the way, I could find no dents in any of my boxes. They didn't last long last week, they were all gone by 9AM PST Monday.

I have a system not unlike this but an older model. I love them to death. They are the best speakers I have ever owned!

Can't find if these are USB plug or regular mini-stereo. Makes a huge difference in how they are to be used. I could assume it's USB because it requires Windows or Mac in the specs window. Something about needing an adapter for consoles also hints at this. Will purchase if mini-stereo is the plug.

I have these and work at bestbuy and sell these. They are great they are THX certified but... most of them have a common defect and thats the left channel speaker 3out5 myself with 2 sets and another customer i sold a set to had "Lemon" left speakers so I had to exchange them out. No big deal they bump and deliver crisp sound but if you can find the same price on a Klipsch go with them because they have less distortion at a higher volume.

You were asking how long the remote is...I think it's like 3 feet or so...but it might be a little longer. I can't tell without moving my desk to see how much of a coil is behind it.

I don't adjust my volume too much with the remote...I just turn the sound on and off with it. Typically, I do most volume adjustments with software. What I like is it gives me a headphone jack on my desktop as well...and you can turn the power off the subwoofer/speakers and still have power to your headphones with the control of the volume dial...

i love these speakers. and i haven't seen the price go down much in the past few years since i had them. i remember getting them for $100 + $30 rebate from newegg, but i haven't seen that price since. would definitely buy again at $99. my subwoofer started having problems 3 years in, but they sent me a whole new system and didn't want the old one back. great customer service. i've had it for 5 years now.

Best speakers you can buy. IMHO

Get them while they last - I've had them for over a year and they have never disappointed.

oh and remote is 6 feet from subwoofer as well as 6 feet from sound source. don't expect to be able to extend the remote-subwoofer cable, I believe it uses a DE-9 connector, but you can always extend the 3.5mm to the sound source.

Forget any other 2.1 system, forget the wimpy 5.1 systems... this is THE 2.1 system to own.
