I have this combo, the impact driver is great, the drill is meh. The drill has a 1/4 inch hex collet, which severely limits how you can use it. I ended up grabbing an extra Makita DF330DW drill with a true chuck. It fits in the metal box with the impact driver, and shares batteries. However, that ends up costing lots of money...

I also have this set, got lucky and was 129 at the big orange box.
Electrician, I use the impact daily, battery last about a week. Works great. Have had them almost 2years now still working great, indispensable tool now.

Also have 18v kit so drill only comes out when I need to get into a wall with something small to drill a block, works great when needed with a spade bit that fits in nicely. Small hole in wall for box and drill fits in and can be handled to drill through blocks. And I thought the drill was useless upon purchase. Battery dies pretty fast with the drill boring holes though.

Would of been nice to get a second set at that price! Will have to keep eyes open for similar deals.
