The commas make it sound like it's just a pile of separate crap that you get. I could use a new shirt button!
What if you accidentally sew it on the inside of your pants?
Swimming in raw sewage? "I LOVE IT!!!"
So the 2gb model gets 2 hours of recording time, and the 4gb gets 8 hours. How does that make any sense? Wouldn't the time just about double, or does the software take up a huge amount of the removable memory?
The recording time varies due to compression formats, there is no componant software kept in the flash memory area. Most of the newer mini-DVR items are now using MP4 compression which allows them to pretty much equal DVD quality video using right around half the storage space.
@raywelby: That doesn't answer the previous question. Assuming the compression is the same, if you DOUBLE the memory size, from 2GB to 4GB, you'd expect the recording time to DOUBLE (from the stated 2 hours, to about 4 hours.
But the website says the recording time QUADRUPLES, from 2 hours to 8 hours. How do you explain this "magical" increase in recording time that's about twice as much as you'd expect?
Anyone know how good the quality is?
If only shoes had buttons on the toes...
@crowbite: As it turns out, some of their other products do the same thing. The pen and the alarm clock recording time/memory work as expected (twice the memory, twice the recording time) but the glasses exhibits the same thing as the button (twice the memory, 4x the recording time). I'm guessing they just made a really weird, annoying mistake, and that 1GB = 2hrs, and 2GB = 4hrs.
It must've been a very dumb mistake. Looks like they fixed it.
Sound's like a good one. Can we use it on our purse button.
