Wow. Awesome deal! Yes, the series IS available on Netflix, but as one of my all-time favorite television shows, I'm definitely in for one.
Indeed.
Many of the reviews mentioned the poor packaging quality that results in scratched discs before you even get to watch them. :-/
@ucancallmetrina: I bought this exact same package off Amazon when it was $100, and the comments said the same thing then. I haven't had any issues with any of my disks being scratched and I'm actually in the middle of rewatching the series now! Although this series is on netflix, I bring the DVDs and watch / listen to them while I'm doing mindless work, since that much bandwidth coming from Netfix.com would draw suspicions :)
I thought it was a damn good deal at $100! If I didn't already own it I would definitely take the plunge for it at this price. I seriously can't recommend this enough. That's like $6 a SEASON! Seriously, where else are you going to get a deal like that???
I bought the individual disks. They don't have the subtitles. Does anyone know if this set has subtitles?
I have this set in this packaging with no problems. I'm actually watching Deadman Switch right now, waiting for it to not be 90F outside. This is an AWESOME deal for hours of good TV.
This is a SICK deal!
If I hadn't bought all seasons individually I would definitely pick one up...
@riviter77: Only the later seasons have subtitles. The earlier seasons do have closed captioning though, which is better than nothing. Of course, the discs you already have should have closed captioning as well.
My discs don't seem to have been scratched up, though I haven't actually watched all of them. However, I did buy a better disc case to transfer them all into.
