Just ordered, all worked. Thanks

Just be aware that these are illegal in many states for street use on automobiles.

I have 2 sets of these. They work great. I use 3 of them on my kid's jogging stroller and the 4th goes in my running belt. Very bright, very visible. I am going to order more because the cost of a new set is cheaper than the cost of replacement batteries.

Note that these seem to only attach to Schrader tubes, so if your bike has Presta, you're probably out of luck with this product.

vote-for2vote-against

@jeffisclassic: Nope. They actually use an adapter to attach to Schrader stems; if you have Presta stems then you just unscrew the adapter and install them directly.

I just purchased mine moments ago and it still worked....

Note that these are heavier than regular stem caps. This can put undue stress on the stems and cause premature stem failure. Probably not a big problem for jogging strollers or kids bikes but I would avoid putting them on anything with a motor.

You have been warned.

Worked for me. However I think you are limited to one set at that price with the coupon code.

vote-for1vote-against

thanks. in for one so I can use the code. Can't order 2 with the same code, but could always setup another account I suppose.

vote-for1vote-against

@jeeperwoot: I just ordered two with the same account

vote-for1vote-against

Got one... hard to pass up for a buck.

vote-for-2vote-against

I'm getting a $8 charge on the last checkout page for S&H. Anyone else seeing this?

vote-for1vote-against

not worth it as can only buy 1 at discount price

vote-for0vote-against

@b4uizme: I tired to do that but got an error that the coupon wouldn't work.

vote-for1vote-against

Wish I could have gotten more but definitely in for 1. Might go back and order some more later.

I bought a set of these recently and they work pretty well. Each uses 3x L1131 batts. The light appears to use the same sensor found in cat toys that chirp when bumped or thrown, to turn it on, so the light is NOT continuous, it's more of a strobe effect. The lights go out the instant you stop, and will flash only very intermittently when riding on a smooth bicycle path. (unlike other stem lights that turn on due to centrifugal force, these react to slight vibrations) The lighting effect looks NOTHING like it does in their photo here.

There is no on/off switch so if you have them on your bike on your bike rack on your vehicle, they will be flashing while you drive and run down the batteries pretty fast, so you will have to take them off when driving your bike if you want to save on batteries. It's hard to tell when the batteries are getting low. The stem connector is weak brittle plastic so be careful.

coupon code FYIs: it doesn't let you use the coupon code for more than qty=1 on the order, and it won't let you use the code again on a second order under the same account. if you want more than one set at the discount price, you will need to order them one at a time creating several accounts tied to different emails.

@b4uizme: Could NOT order a second set from the same account. I had to set up a second account.

@bdoug399:

where can you find out where these are illegal?

vote-for1vote-against

Trivia question for someone more knowledgeable than me: do you suppose you could put these on a manual wheelchair? I have one client in particular who wants to trick out his ride. He actually wants spinners, but those are ridiculously expensive. I can only imagine his smile if I hooked him up with running lights.

vote-for1vote-against

I would be so happy to trick out a wheelchair, too. Sure hope someone can check this out for us.

vote-for1vote-against

@happyapple: Probably. If you really wanna trick out a wheelchair I'd consider going el-wire. It might still cost a bit, but not nearly as much as spinners.
