Thanks for the post! Been looking for these, and unfortunately missed them all around Black Friday!

This the best price we'll probably see the rest of the year?

My account doesn't expire 'til March, but snagged one for the discount!

Quick question, sorry if this is the wrong place...

Do deals like this ever show up for PS Plus? I love my XBL deals, so I'm hoping something similar exists.

vote-for5vote-against

@m0rieris: I got it for $35 a couple weeks back. This is a great deal still, but it's never for sure if you can find a better deal.

Send this to all of the fools paying $14.99 per month to get the $99 360 deal. Poor suckers.

vote-for3vote-against

Every deal has lots of buyers who pay full price. Thats what makes these listings "deals". Plus, those full price payers subsidize the discounts for others.

While this isn't the cheapest I've seen a year of gold, it is just $5 more which isn't that much. However, if you need a mic and don't have a chat pad you should look into getting a Microsoft XBOX Live 12 Month Gold Starter Pack for around $60.

Been waiting for this since I missed on BF. In for one!

Just in case there are any parents out there who both they and their kids use Xbox Live, go check the Xbox Live Family pack. It's $99.99 a year (only sold directly through Microsoft), you get 4 members each with their own accounts and as a parent you can monitor what they do and set up restrictions.

great timing! ours expired tomorrow! We switched to pre-pay instead of auto-pay because of the flexibility, and you can get it much cheaper usually with deals like this, thanks for posting!

now says limit 3 per customer

I don't have an xBox but my nephew does...is this suitable for gifting? I assume I'm going to literally just get a code that I guess I could write down inside a Christmas card?

vote-for1vote-against

How long does it take to get the code?

vote-for1vote-against

@klausboop: You'll get a card with a little tear off window. Which will fit in another card, or you can just write it down.

vote-for2vote-against

@decyde: Watch out for those chatpads. My mic jack tends to not work after I use the chatpad.

@starmandeluxe:

Having xbox live gold is like haveing free psn, ps+ so soo much more

vote-for1vote-against

@brambleheart: But it says it's a digital code... so he won't get the card from xbox.

vote-for5vote-against

It is a digital code they will most likely email you. You can just write it down in a card. You will not get the physical card with the tear off piece.

vote-for3vote-against

Thanks! I picked up a code earlier today., Within 30 minutes Newegg had the code emailed to me, and it was also listed in my Newegg order status.

@sumduud: Seems to me like anyone paying anything just to play online is a fool.

vote-for2vote-against

@dlcarst77: Sounds like a pretty ignorant thing to say.

lol looking at the down votes on my comment, I can see there are plenty of suckers that signed up for the $15/mo xbox live. Really it is a freaking rip off, but people that aren't willing to pay the $50-$100 extra for the 360 I guess would rather pay the $130 extra in live fees.

vote-for1vote-against

@sumduud: I think they were down voting because you cannot use these pre-paid cards if you have the 2 year commitment.

By the way, the Xbox 360 deal is the exact same thing wireless providers do. They sell you the phone at a discounted rate, only to recuperate their money on your monthly bill.

For those who do not have a credit card or wish to finance their Xbox buying it like that is the exact same thing as buying a cell phone and activating a 2 year contract. Although, I personally wouldn't go about it this way... it is a viable option for some.

@jyoz22: yeah, send it to them to rub in in their faces that they are fools.
