Paid 4 for $10.00 a few weeks ago. This is a GREAT price. Only problem is that it only lasts one season.

This is free ship-to-store, big difference from free shipping.

watch out got some and it was left over from last year and all faded with white spots

@boaterbum: I've never been a fan of dyed mulch anyway, particularly when the colouring's strong enough to last a year. Can't be good for you- or the plants & pets.

I'm a huge fan of Lowe's, but I was closer to a Home Depot yesterday and they have "Scott's" black mulch on sale for $2...2 cubic foot bags. Great deal, awesome mulch. Just did one of my investment houses yesterday with it and it cost me $14.

@zx2guy19: I bought 5 bags from there as well.

is there a coupon code or something? When I click to order, it comes up as $3.33 a bag.

@dvomastic: Same thing happened to me the last sale they had. It depends where you are in the USA. I brought the email with the pricing and even though they did not have the bags on sale, they honored my email on my smart phone.

A idiot apartment dweller here. What is this exactly used for? I would like to start some flower beds one of these days.

It's always been cheaper for me to get the lawn guys to do it. For the cost of these bags, my yard guys will weed the beds, throw down the mulch, trim the bushes, cut the grass and teach me how to say bad words en español.

@conanthelibrarian: mulch helps retain water and heat for the earth beneath. it fills the bed and it looks pretty.

Here in Los Angeles, you can go get free mulch from the city's tree trimmers: http://www.lacitysan.org/srpcd/mulch_giveaway.htm
