Anyone heard of this service before? It's my first time hearing about it.

They are an offshoot of Ptel. From the limited interaction I have had with them, they are a solid company.

I see they charge about 300 for the nexus 8gb model. If I am reading everything right, we can grab the nexus 4 16gb model directly from google, and do this deal. Might need to spend 5 bucks for a sim card.

@bronquel: missed the price - from google you can get the nexus 4 16gb model for about 275 after shipping and taxes.

As @conanthelibraian mentioned they are an offshoot of Ptel.

Ptel and Givmobile use the T-mobile network as a an MVNO.
You will not get roaming onto AT&T network like a standard T-mobile user would.
If you have good T-mobile service in your area this is a good deal.
I've used Ptel for over a year now and it's been great. I lose service now and again, but to me the savings make it worth it.

@bronquel: Yes, Google just recently lowered their price for the Nexus 4, and Giv hasn't matched it yet. You can definitely buy a Nexus 4 straight from Google and use it on Giv, that's exactly what I did only a month ago. You'll just need to order a GivMobile SIM card from their website

I've been very happy with my PTel service. I just use the Real PayGo, since I don't use a lot of minutes or data. But if I wanted unlimited service, I would definitely use GIV Mobile, especially at half off...... actually starting to think I might get this deal now....

Definitely worth the buy! Just unlocked my AT&T s3 and put in my new GIV sim card: works flawlessly!
