This bed was made for the dog that is notorious for tearing his bed apart. It is made out of the same material as fire hoses and it is easy to clean. This bed may be tough but it is even more comfortable for your dog to sleep on. Use it indoors or out. Water resistant, Chew resistant, Mildew resistant. Hose it off to clean.

NOT that it is the same at all... and it requires that you know how to sew a simple straight seam.

I just made new dog beds for the outside:

Pattern: Look at a pillow sham; free SIMPLE pattern at http://sewing.about.com/od/freeprojects/ss/flangedsham.htm

Pillows: DUH! - Walmart ultra firm pillows - or call your local Salvation Army/Goodwill - see if they have a "destroyed" couch and offer to buy the cushions.

Fabric: Contact a local awning company and see if they have extra fabric! I talked to the guy who was installing new awnings next door and "we always have [an] extra" yard or 2 that we just store or throw away (I got about 4.5 yards of 2 different patterns FREE). Even at $5/yard, it's a steal!

Cheaper to just go to Ross. They sell dog stuff and large dog beds usually run around twenty five bucks.
