One day there will be a woot fanatic (think Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons) that will pay thousands of dollars for a pristine 2011 Calendar.... most likely in 2012, right before the world ends.

:D

Shipping kills the deal...

vote-for3vote-against

so, is this like the advent calendar? open the flap and reveal the woot of the day?

please don't peak ahead...

vote-for1vote-against

Considering it's already well into 2011, perhaps the price should be negative $4.01, (So with $5 shipping = 99 cents)...

vote-for4vote-against

seriously! Who's going to pay $5.00 shipping for a .99 cent item? Seriously, really?

vote-for2vote-against

@finnywinn: That's why you buy 3. Doesn't sound as bad when you say 3 calendards for $7.97.

vote-for8vote-against

Or...just wait for a BOC to come around some time towards the end of the year - say, like September. You'll get a couple dozen :D

vote-for1vote-against

Can't resist feeding my woot obsession EVERY day! Woohoo!

vote-for0vote-against

Great Deal, woot is so smart of selling new year calendar!

vote-for1vote-against

@finnywinn: I guess they could fix it by upping the price to $5?

vote-for4vote-against

I LOVE woot, and would love to have this calendar (and seriously, it's not THAT far into 2011 - 0.03% of the year is gone). I'd pay $2.00 shipping, but $5.00? No way.

vote-for2vote-against

Just buy it in advance of the next 2011.

vote-for3vote-against

@finnywinn: seriously! the people that pay $5 shipping for the 42 inch v or the 3 22" Flat Panel Monitors or... $5 shipping works both ways and frankly much more often in our favor so quite the whining. Sorry maybe you're not a woot!er. If that is the case, they charge flat $5 on EVERYTHING, whether you buy 1 of 3 whether it is a $0.99 calendar or 3 200 pound cabinets.

vote-for2vote-against

@drchops: I tried that... Instead I got 4 different kinds of picture wielding ornaments.

vote-for3vote-against

For this price I could get 5 calendars at the Dollar Store with .61 cents left over for the gum machine! ;)

@sumduud: I understand your point. I have bought quite a few things from Woot and agree about the shipping, but the $5 shipping on a piece of paper doesn't cut it. There HAS to be a line somewhere.

vote-for1vote-against

Does it tell you when the Wootoffs are and what time the BOC will be sold? If so count me in for three....

vote-for1vote-against

who would spend five dollars on a woot calendar?

vote-for2vote-against

In for 2, one for the office one for home. I Cannot resist Woot! merchandise, feel the power of the Woot!

vote-for4vote-against

Oh, Woot. This makes me sad. You don't charge people for your promotional items. I've been in sales for years and I've never, ever, seen a company-branded calendar for SALE. Not only should it not be $.99 you should only be charging for actual shipping costs... maybe $2. Maybe. OR include one in every order. But charging $.99 AND $5 shipping? It's kind of insulting, really. If you need a new sales/marketing manager (and it seems you do), please let me know and I'll make myself available. ;)

vote-for10vote-against

In for 3!!! Have to get my Woot! on!!

To all the whiners: The $5 shipping is the standard shipping cost. It is well known by every wooter that they pay that flat fee regardless of the item. The next time you purchase an item from woot that would have cost you $20 shipping, go ahead and pay them the extra $15 out of principle. Otherwise, if the $5 is too much for you, shut up and don't buy the item. Seriously!

vote-for2vote-against

I wish this would have come out before xmas.. would have made a great stocking stuffer.. thxs.

vote-for2vote-against

I think that I know what is going to be in everyones next Woot "Bag of Crap" deal.

vote-for2vote-against

With that awesome Woot shipping, you're sure to receive this by the end of February.

vote-for1vote-against

I was hoping the QR code on the calendar would have a secret message or url. =(

vote-for1vote-against

Does this calendar have the rare photo of Jeff Bezos with a Groucho Marx mustache flying with a wootcape while sucking on a banana?

vote-for2vote-against

Why would I pay for a promo item? Totally retarded!! This is FREE stuff, not an item that should be sold. One with each order in December and January would have been SMART!

BAD WOOT!

vote-for1vote-against

You seriously expect people to pay $6 for an ugly Woot calendar? If you sent it to me for free I might think about putting it on the fridge.

Wow

vote-for1vote-against

Do you think that Woot has the dates of Woot Offs written down, or the dates of BOCs?

vote-for1vote-against

So how much is this going for on amazon.com? Are the reviews any good?

Narf!!

vote-for1vote-against

Mebbe it comes with a $5.00 off shipping coupon code?
