Buy it. They are beyond amazing.
Been itching to get this, even cheaper than amazon mp3 download price, in for 1.
Thanks!
If you don't own this album, you're missing out on a veritable banquet for your ears. If you already own it, buy it again.
These guys are my fourth cousins (well, just one of them). Really.
As much as I'd like to like this band , I can't. I like the idea of their instrumentation, but you're better off just downloading one or two of their tracks for $0.99, because they all sound the same.
@w00tgurl: You forgot to warn people that the lyrics are AUDIBLY NSFW.
@jinglish: I enjoy the sound but you are right. One song sounds pretty much like the others. It's still worth a listen and I hope they can expand their sounds on the next album.
Nice! Thanks for posting this!
i havent bought a cd in years... but i like them enough i actually might buy this.. no wait who am i kidding spending money on music that you can dl for free.. yeah to tempting
@mdupske: O_O you played this out loud at work?
@hueytexas777: It ain't free, skippy. Someone ultimately pays for your pirating, though.
Fantastic album. While the simpler arrangement does limit the range of sounds somewhat, I wouldn't even begin to say that every song sounds the same. If you plan on playing this in the background while several people are talking and carrying on, you may get the impression that it sounds the same. If you plan on LISTENING to the album, I think you'll be drawn in by the subtle dynamics at play. Lots of cross-genre appeal, I can't suggest it enough.
Ya, I don't know about "beyond amazing."
Little Lion Man is pretty good.
When I listen to that song, I can't help but think the band was inspired after listening to the Mos Eisley Cantina theme from Star Wars.
Wow, can't remember the last time I've seen a quality album priced this low.
Awesome got mine last night. Solid Irish rock band owned the.Grammys
@whitlock929: Which one was the Irish band? Because these guys are from London... (c;
It's an Irish sound folk rock. They might not be Irish but they were influenced by Irish music
@w00tgurl: No, but I have the album! :)
> It's an Irish sound folk rock.
I got this for Christmas (and we paid full price for it). If you like bluegrass music, the instrumentation is the same -- but with a beat that's generally faster. As some have recommended, if you're on the fence, listen to "Little Lion Man" on youtube.com
The Cave and Winter Winds are good mumford songs I have been listening to them on Pandora since a friend recommended them a couple months ago.
with shipping, the d/l is marginally cheaper.
Everyone needs to own this album
Bummer, not $4 anymore. Current Amazon price is $8.71. RIP the deal...
I concur. Deal is dead. RIP. :(
@w00tgurl: Yeah, "Little Lion Man" I heard first. Then, "The Cave"...omg, "The Cave." Great band, bought the album elsewhere...
After the Storm is my personal favorite. It's toned down, sounds totally different than the other songs (which don't COMPLETELY sound the same in my opinion, but this one's really different), and the lyrics made me cry.
Even if the deal is dead, I encourage you to buy this album at full price - great stuff.
@whitlock929: I think you'll find that they're actually English.
Also listen to Awake My Soul when you get this album, because it's magnificent.
