The best part about Nerf guns is you can spend a few hours playing "sniper" or "war" with the kiddos, then get yelled at by the wife because there are 4,000 darts stuck to various fixtures throughout the house.

Looks like the best finds here are the Hail-Fire Blaster which is $40 on Amazon, $20 here, the Barricade which is $16 on Amazon, $10 here, The Pyragon which is $31.50 on Amazon, $21.50 here, and the Swampfire which is $31.67 on Amazon, $15 here.

I'm going to start having children, if only to have an excuse to buy some Nerf guns. Man I miss these things!

Don't let the pictures of the Barricades fool you. If you order the one that looks like it has a "stock" on it, you won't receive a stock. I ordered 2 and neither had the stock, like in the picture...of course, calling customer service, they gave me an extra 10% off to keep the guns and not send them back. I took it, but, I really wanted that stock. It was really the only reason I ordered.

@cjc6666: Hi, i'm writing from mygofer. The Barricades are still available for shipping and may be available for pickup at a store near you. Here is the link: http://www.mygofer.com/nerf-174-n-strike-8482-barricade-rv-10-8482/p-004W002950869001P

Are they going to ban toy guns too? One kid got in trouble for bringing a toy gun to school. That was funny. But than I didn't see the gun, it could have made to look real. Can't blame the cops and school for wetting in their pants when they see this toy gun.

The blue one looks like a donkey....

@skoffer: I would have sent it back.. the box shown specifically says Removable Stock included, and the other picture shows the stock. That's false advertising.

@magick72: I was going to send it back, but, I since the price is still really good for the Barricade, even without the stock, I decided to keep it and use it as a test bed for modding.

Actually, if I could get assurances from MyGofer or Kmart that I could still get the barricade that comes with the removable stock, I would order another one...maybe 2.

But, I have a feeling that they don't actually have the Barricades with stock, in stock. That model was an exclusive package and I don't think is offered by anyone, anymore.

@skoffer: Hi, i'm writing from mygofer. I'd love to discuss this further and ensure we get this taken care of for you. Do you mind reaching out to me at jreckle@searshc.com so that i can get a little more information from you? Thanks!

@eraten: I have said for years (both before and after having kids) that one of the best reasons for having kids is that you get to play with all their toys. And the fact that I have 2 young boys means that I can play with some REALLY fun toys again.

And, briefly back in stock. Guess they're live-processing returns/cancellations. Note, though: Pyragon is close to gone. Pyragone. Heh.

This is why violence is so prevalent in the US. Parents encourage violence by buying toy guns and M-rated video games for their kids. As this progresses, the school shooting perpetrators get younger and younger. Soon every Pre-school classroom will have metal detectors and body scanners. By continuing to promote violence we bring on ourselves government drones and spying, since it is so hard to find the psychopath in the crowd of violent people.

@nocab8389: Or, in the case of my house, we discuss that they are "blasters," not "guns." We use them for target practice or "tag." We don't "die," we get "tagged." And, we have constant conversations about the harm and damage real guns can cause. Don't question the product, question the parenting.

Please take your politics somewhere else.

@nocab8389: Yes becuase violence only occurs in america! Now excuse me while I buy a few nerf "guns" for my boys!

Actually, with the shipping costs, the Pyragon seems to be cheaper on Amazon.

@nocab8389: The problem is your perspective and willingness to jump to conclusions by substituting your preconceived ideas without any thought to cause and effect. I'm old enough to remember when you played "cowboys", "soldiers", "cops and robbers" and though we were fully "armed" no one ever thought of acting out the "violence" by transferring our play to playing them out in real life. We went hunting and fired a wide range of weapons from 16, 12, and 10 gauge shotguns to 22 rifles. All of these weapons were "assault" weapons as defined by today's standards as they were semi-automatic and fired "rapidly". None of us every shot up a school or any other gathering of people. So, why is that? Perhaps it is because we had a healthy fear of doing wrong. We never saw a time out. Nor did we see the hand exercised on our bottom. We feared a call from the school's principle to our parents because we KNEW whose side our parents would take. The real killer is bad values and ideas.
