That much for a Playbook? Sounds like a RIM job to me.

I'd consider taking one if they offered to pay ME $299 to use it.

They're trying HP's strategy, but they can't even execute on that.

Wow all of the negative comments, this is a steal for any 64 Gb tablet, especially one that is so awesome. Everyone who acts like they're so important and their calendar and native Email client are so cruical to the tablet experience can wallow.

This device is great and fast, and for $300 the 64Gb one is awesome.

Sounds to me like people are just cracking jokes based on the price drop without actually knowing anything about the tablet.

It's a nice tablet. Not perfect of course, but a very good first effort and a leader in some areas.

But it was really aimed at a corporate market, I think, where RIM used to have a loyal following. That loyalty, and RIM's market share, is slip-sliding away, and the consumer-in-the-street just didn't see a reason to buy.

Just ordered one. Can't wait for it to get here. For what I need it for the 64gig will be awesome!
