This is such a good deal I am tempted to buy this even though I don't have a need for another TV. Something for the bathroom?

vote-for2vote-against

Good deal...I wish it were only 32" though - 40 might be too big for the bedroom.

This is a very nice deal... but I think my wife would shoot me.

Oh crud, great deal! I'm with Slerb777 though. I could use this over the fireplace, but I think I'd only live long enough to see the box arrive. Gack!

I couldn't find this model easily when looking around for reliability info, but there is a discussion over at AVSForum. Appears this may be a special model made for Black Friday sales: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1196344

Looks like a good deal (price is same as most B&Ms, however probably no taxes for most of us and it ships free), and a good general TV.

Very nice deal. If I only needed another one.....

Just saw this same TV listed as a Black Friday deal from Best Buy on http://bfads.net/Online-Deals. Same price too.

Crutchfield may cost less. They have free shipping too and for me here in IL, no tax.

Looks like a great deal and I may need one after the TV service Tech gets here on Friday.

What's a better deal? The 40" LCD on this page or this: Samsung 42" Class 720p 600Hz Plasma HDTV, PN42B400 for $548?

vote-for1vote-against

would this work well as a computer monitor?

I found a very similar model (LN40B650) which rated very well and was a "recommended" model by Consumer Reports. Brand reliability on Samsung's are typically good. I personally am a huge fan of Samsung TVs and appliances.

Great deal... Samsung makes a great tv

@mcberry: Checkout the NewEgg pre-black friday sale going on now for the 32" Samsung. LN32b650 is currently the highest rated 32" LCD by Consumer Reports... and for $397 with free shipping you can't go wrong. There are several other places selling it for a few bucks more (Dell, Amazon, etc).

@rhochstrasser: Go with the LCD unless you have a dark room. That plasma screen has a glass surface that reflects evverrythinggg.

vote-for1vote-against

too bad it's too big for my desk, i'm looking for a 32" one like this

vote-for1vote-against

I have the larger version of this TV that I bought from Amazon last year. It's freakin great!

vote-for1vote-against

I highly recommend Samsung TVs, though I prefer their Plasma over LCD.

vote-for1vote-against

Meh... they lost me at 60Hz.

vote-for1vote-against

Ordered one. Thanks deals.woot!

vote-for1vote-against

Doesn't look like it's a refurb (r0cksors!!)

Just picked one up at Best Buy. One thing that I'm a little disappointed in is there is only one audio out and it is digital. Kind of wish it had an analog audio out to connect to my 80s receiver ;)

They also had a 40" 1080p Sony Bravia on sale for $600. Thought about taking the Samsung back but saw some not so good reviews regarding the automatic backlight dimming on the Sony.

This TV should be $599 everywhere until 11/30 see the samsungusa.com website

Anyone have a clue on the sound on this thing? I wouldn't be connecting it to a receiver, it would be on it's own for my basement ps3 and DVR, not a huge room.

vote-for0vote-against

Sound's not bad. DVR actually makes it pretty loud while the DVD I played was much more quiet. Don't know about the PS3.

@tucucca: Can you describe the image quality? Deep blacks? I just picked this up at Tigerdirect, wondering if I made the right decision with BF coming around.

Just bought this Tv at pcrichards, what a great deal

vote-for0vote-against

It is not available as of now

@mcberry:

"40 might be too big for the bedroom."

That's what she said.
