Because of his condition, Leonard essentially lives his life in short, present-tense segments, with no clear idea of what's just happened to him. That's where Memento gets really interesting; the story begins at the end, and the movie jumps backward in 10-minute segments. The suspense of the movie lies not in discovering what happens, but in finding out why it happened. Amazingly, the movie achieves edge-of-your-seat excitement even as it moves backward in time, and it keeps the mind hopping as cause and effect are pieced together.
I think I've seen this movie, but I don't really remember it...
its about a guy who cant remember things.
Wait, let me shave my leg so I can know to Upvote or Downvote this...
@stabnwswd: Its like 50 First Dates, but WAAAAYYYYY darker.
probably one of the worst and most confusing movies that i have ever seen.

@superspec: I have tried to watch it several times and it's just really hard to follow. Good price though.
It's showing as only $7.79 for this edition on amazon.
Seems the price decrease is because there is a newer 10th anniversary edition that replaces it.
I don't feel drunk...
@pinchecat: I don't know why, but I was able to read your message without any problem. Maybe I have a special gift... Or maybe I'm dyslexic... yeah, that's probably it...
It's not hard to follow and is a great movie. The movie is played backwards for the most part, you see the ending first.
I'm sorry but the Blu-Ray version of this movie sucks. If you want it, get the two disk DVD. The Blu-Ray version is bare bones while the two disk DVD has the theatrical and chronological cuts of the film and a bunch of extras.
Remember Sammy Jankis.
@jmacgill: The two-disc DVD is available on Amazon for less than $9, so I will try that instead. I love Guy Pearce and have heard great things about this movie...
This is a fantastic movie. Probably one of the only movies I've watched 10+ times. Definitely a must-watch movie. I understood the movie the first time, but each subsequent viewing seems to reveal more and more... Here's the imdb page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209144/ (it has a rating of 8.6)
@jmacgill: as nklb pointed out, there is a newer 10th anniversary edition Blu-ray with all the extras from the 2-DVD set, minus the chronological cut. That cut was hard to locate on the 2-DVD set though, as were most of the special features, due to the maze of a menu.
If you already have the 2-DVD set, this Blu-ray may make a nice supplement to it, as you'll get higher quality audio and video for the main feature, and can hold onto the 2-DVD set for the extras.
