I apologize for not commenting before, but in the interest of full disclosure, I don't know if there is spam or not. I saw the deal but did not buy, as I am not much of a car person. However, I knew many wooters are, and thought I'd pass along the deal as an option. I would recommend using a junk email (hotmail, yahoo) just in case.

Paid for it with the small balance left on an AMEX gift card and used an old Yahoo address... so no re-billing and hopefully little spam... time will tell.

in reading the user agreement at that site, you're agreeing to receive email from them and anyone else. however, they say they won't sell your email - they just forward the spam from other spammers.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
