This might be the cheapest I'll ever pay for diarrhea!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Arby's but it tears me up.

@cardinalsfan: You have a tender stomach! This past weekend I was remembering with some amusement when I came back from the buffet on our Chinese river cruise ship with my plate heaped with nothing but onion rings. Our tour group was us and three couples, all of them of retirement age like us. They were astounded that I was going to make a meal out of onion rings. One of them took a picture. A couple bemoaned that they just couldn't eat like teenagers any more. I told them the trick is to never stop eating like a teenager. I thought of it because on Saturday I had cookies for breakfast, movie theater popcorn for lunch and pizza for dinner. On Sunday I had donuts for breakfast, leftover pizza for lunch, kraut dogs for dinner and leftover movie popcorn for late night snack. I thought, "If only those guys could see me now."

moondrakes obituary next year: he loved junk food... but it didn't love him back.... instead of pleasure, it left him with a heart attack...

@cardinalsfan: This one doesn't come with the cheese sauce. I would guess that's your issue. But most Arby's have a topping bar and so you can still load this thing with banana peppers, horsey sauce, and all that.

By the way. Just a year or two ago, I finally understood the name Arby's. RB's. Roast Beef.

@omnichad: Kinda redundant then, ain't it? They usually say "Arby's Roast Beef Sandwiches". See that apostrophe in Arby's? That's to show possession. Doesn't make sense that Roast Beef would own Roast Beef Sandwiches.

I'm guessing it's called Arby's as in RB's as in Raffel Brother's Roast Beef Sandwiches.

@tewkewl: Actually, while I could stand to lose some weight, I am in great health. The last time I had a checkup, my doctor said I had the blood pressure, cholesterol and heart rate of a teenager. The last time I had my blood sugar checked it was low. When I am at anything approaching "optimal weight", my blood pressure gets very low and I am cold all the time. My body is happy with the teenaged lifestyle. Eat junk food and hang out with my friends playing games till all hours of the morning then pull a ten hour day at work.

@omnichad: I wish we had banana peppers, I love those guys. We get pico de gallo here. It's pretty good, they make it with red onions which I've never seen anyone else do.

@bsmith1: I'm sure they also didn't miss that Raffel Brothers were the same initials as Roast Beef. Probably a big part of choosing the name they did. It can still be both. Though I didn't know their names before.

I started to print one but I'm not sure it's worth driving across town for one sandwich. Maybe if I could stock up on lunch for my wife and I and an after-daycare snack for the kid

@omnichad: that must be a reigional/franchisee thing...i've been to many different arby's across ohio, and have never seen a topping bar....we just have sauce pumps next to the soda fountain.

@earlyre: I think it's new too. But the number is growing. Not a huge condiment bar - mostly sauce pumps, but a few bins for banana peppers, pickles, and a couple other items. Can't find a single picture online.

SWEEEET just got my sandwich, nom nom nom

I love Arbys but not sure its worth leaving work on lunch for a single sandwich.

all the Arby's around us have closed up, two in my town are both closed, been for over a year

I think of the Arby's Classic Roast Beef Sandwich as being one of the healthier fast food options in my area. It's lean beef, not fried or drenched in sauce (unless you add some, and then you control how much). Maybe a little high on the sodium scale, but overall not a bad choice. I'm in for one!

@moondrake - I am jealous! You must have a metabolism I would give anything for!

@jhammer76: Exactly my decision. I made a special trip to Weinerschnitzel for the hot dog special on Sunday because I could buy 8 kraut dogs and have enough for three meals. I was just cleaning house anyway and the dog got to go for a ride and he got his own free weenie as well. Arby's is further away and it's a weekday, so I am not inclined to work that hard for one sandwich. I'd probably spend the difference in gas to get there.

The coupon says one per customer, but I went to the drive through of an Arby's at an unnamed location and asked how many I could get. They let me purchase 6 at 64 cents. Whoo-hoo!

@omnichad: I bet you are big for your age huh?

vote-for3vote-against

@level1: I don't know, but you sure seem little for yours.

vote-for1vote-against

@lawbreaker06: Agh! I didn't think of this. I did print out two coupons because I live right in between two locations.

@omnichad: Yeah, cool ... except that it stands for RB (Rayl brothers), the founders.
