Good reviews over at Amazon. Also cheaper there... http://tinyurl.com/24oegpd

Dated interface, smallish, low res-screen, but if you're getting a compact Kodak, this is the one to get. Decent sharpness for a superzoom, and better-than-average noise levels.

About $5 cheaper at checkout + free shipping at Amazon at the link provided above. I only say this because Amazon doesn't show you the price until it is in your cart. Of course they may adjust their price as the day goes on and demand goes up.

Also, after reading some of the bad reviews was worried that I would have to install Kodak camera software to get pictures off. It seems like the 1 star reviewers had no idea what they were talking about because everyone else could get the camera to show up in My Computer as a browsable USB device (like a flash drive).

I bought this camera for my wife last Christmas. It is a pretty good camera and I would recommend it for the money. It takes good video, decent photos, and the zoom is nice on it. I never installed the Kodak software since I have an SD card reader on my computer. If one were worried about said software, you can pick up an external SD reader for very cheap. I got our camera on Amazon.

Oh Kodak, how good you used to be.....

@stazja01: Their cameras showed up inside your computer? You discovered teleportation or something?

@stazja01: Also, you can pull the media card out and put it directly into your computer if you're like me and prefer not to fool with 10 different cables

@rfsmit: I suppose Windows 7 calls it simply "Computer" these days. At least I didn't call it File Manager... These cards simply don't fit into my 3.5" floppy drive and I can't for the life of me find an adapter.

I tend to keep a miniUSB cable plugged into one of the four ports on the front of my computer at all times. Almost every camera, most of the MP3 players (non iPod or Zune), and most of the external drive readers I've ever had use this cable so it really isn't an inconvenience. I double checked the camera's info and this is exactly what it uses.

Office Depot is selling these cameras this week for the same price ($129.00) and they include a 4GB memory card. I bought one and am quite pleased with it. Plug in the camera with the USB cable and it shows up as an external device on my Vista machine; I didn't install the Kodak software. Picture quality is very good and the 10X optical zoom works well. The macro doesn't seem to work closer than about three inches but I haven't tried it in manual mode. I'm not sure the alkaline batteries are going to last for 190 shots. After about 90 pictures and some video (which is very good quality for a still camera, by the way) the batteries appear to be more than 3/4 dead. I like te camera, though, especially for the price.
