I really wish the TV show had made it and went longer than 6 episodes. I love this kind of humor, but think it works best in 30-45 minute doses.

The TV show was fast paced enough that the gags were pretty much non-stop. The shorter format also allowed for 'recurring' jokes - like the 'Special Guest Star' and 'Freeze Frame' end credits.

That's not to say that the movies are unfunny - they are all pretty good. And Priscilla Presley is cute as a button in all of them. If you get the 'Naked Gun' movies, think about getting the complete 'Police Squad' as well.
