How is Skullcandy, quality-wise? My earbuds always die after a few months, and I'm trying to get out of that.

I've used Skullcandys for about the past 3-4 years. All the pairs of headphones I've had to replace were my fault. I started out with a couple of the cheaper ear bud headphones from them and was impressed enough with the sound to keep buying more. I currently have a set of 50/50's that I wear at work that have lasted me close a year now. Also I have a pair of asym's that I wear when exercising or riding my motorcycle. I replaced a set of Skull Crushers with a set of Ti's because I stepped on the Skull Crushers when it was dark. Now I'm replacing the Ti's with a set of Aviators, just because.
This is a heck of a deal.

Also, if you end up spending $50+, you can add a beanie to your order and use the code FREEBEANIE to get it for free. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on Aviator or Mix Master orders. http://www.skullcandy.com/Free-Beanie/?utm_source=homepage&utm_medium=banner&utm_content=promo%2Bwell%2B2&utm_campaign=homepage%2Bpromo%2Bwell%2Bad

Did anyone actually buy anything?

Skull candy's are terrible headphones, seriously.

If you want a nice, cheap pair of headphones, get the Sony MDR-v6. Entry level audiophile headphones will run you about $55-$70.

Here's the deal with headphones:

those with good sound quality and are reasonably priced aren't in most stores, so most people dont know about them.

Skullcandy's are the universal budget headphone, so people naturally think that the more expensive ones are worth it.

People have to hear headphones before knowing how well they like it, so few people are willing to try other, lesser known brands, like audeze, denon, beyer, or audio technica. Even though these brands easily trump anything they sell in stores.

to anyone thinking of buying expensive headphones, I plead you to look at these reviews

http://www.head-fi.org/t/433318/shootout-94-portable-headphones-reviewed-audio-technica-ath-es10-added-10-8-11

They were done by an individual that reviewed over 200 in ear monitors (like skullcandy inkd), ranging from five to over 1200 dollars, and nearly 100 headphones.

MDR V6's and creative aurvana live are both very good entry audiophile headphones, and competitively priced.

Took forever but I was able to buy some headphones.

Just placed an order for some Aviators. I have wanted to try these out for a while, but could never stomach the price. Hopefully for $90 shipped they are worth it...

If it weren't for the lifetime warranty, I don't think skullcandy would be worth it. With lifetime warranty, though, it only costs $2-3 to get a replacement (cost of shipping them back) when they break--and I guarantee you, they will break, unless you leave them in the package (and possibly even then). It takes a couple weeks for them to come, though.

On another note, the rubber earpieces are interchangeable with the $1 shipped headphones that pop up on onesaleaday every so often; though these are slightly smaller and harder to put on, they are also less likely to come off (and also less comfortable).
