um--and why not just PUT the cup on the table? Is table space that limited?

@cruiz7197:
first line of the description:
"The Drinklip Cup Coffee Drink Holder Keeper Clip is to enlarge room of your table or desk."

and yes, on my computer desk, space is that valuable.

I might end up actually buying a couple of these as space in my room is limited.

My mind is limited, but space is the final frontier.

This thing looks like a class action lawsuit just waiting to happen. Can anyone say hot coffee?

I'm thinking if they will clip on the bleacher at the ball park that would be nice.

I was just thinking about something like this as I was flying and had my table folded down full of everything and the flight attendant did beverage service. I didn't really want my beverage on my laptop so it sat in my lap. this would work well when flying

This looks like it would really streamline the process of dropping your drink on the floor.
1. Place drink in holder.
2. Walk away to complete some other silly task in your meaningless life.
3. Listen for "thunk" (your sound may vary based on style of drinking vessel"
4. Profit!

Anyone know the weight and diameter of a forty ounce bottle?

vote-for1vote-against

If it's secure enough I'd take a guess that it might actually prevent more spills that having a cup sitting on your desk, as this has some side support. I guess it depends from which direction your clumsy arm is swinging in from.

@autocrosser: yeah. one of the pics shows 2 magazines clipped using this and, i guess, supported on a nail in the wall. the nail going through the cup hole part. so they seem like strong grips... unless they're just duct taped up

Sold. Gonna try using it to clip on the edge of the lounge chair by the pool.

Good thing this deal is good for another 4080 days. Gives me some time to decide whether or not it will hold a 20 oz. pop.

Ha ha the amount of time some people spend deliberating on a $2 purchase.

@c00lguymike:
umm, the weight of a forty ounce bottle. hmmm.

well, it's about 1,134 grams. that's, let's see, 36.5 troy ounces, or about 3 troy pounds. in avoirdupois, it's close to 2.5 pounds. that works out to about 640 drams, 729 pennyweights, 17,500 grains, 875 apothecary scruples, 5670 carats, or, umm, about 40 ounces.

plus the bottle . . .

You know where this would be great... on Navy ships in offices there... drink and lits of things on desks do tend to slide around a lot when the boat gets a-rockin'

Actually, these are excellent for project tables where you need a lot of space and are moving things around a lot. When I'm sewing, I am pushing fabric all over the table and it's easy to knock a drink over. This would (in theory) hold the drink securely.
