Silicone is NOT a natural substance; it is a synthesized substance. I'll grant that it is probably "healthier" than teflon (when used as a non-stick coating... I'm staying away from discussing other uses of silicone), but it isn't natural (or rather is as natural as say, C4 plastic explosive, or high octane gasoline, or high fructose corn syrup.)

Aside from that bit of snake oil, these pans are a great deal at this price and eligible for free super saver shipping (though you've got to spend another $9.04 (total at least $25) to get the free shipping).

@baqui63: Yeah, whoever wrote that description was probably a bit confused between silicone and silicon. I corrected the spelling of Pittsburgh too.

Even if silicone was "a natural substance", there are plenty of "natural substances" that can kill you. I never understood why people would fall for "all natural" marketing BS.
