Just ordered one and had to grab a carton of ice cream out of the freezer for a snack - YUM!

I've been wanting to experiment with beer ice cream, but a good deal on an ice cream maker hasn't come up. Until today.

After -22 here in NM last week, it's fitting we have a great deal on frozen yogurt makers. In fo' one, though we're still defrosting ourselves. Thanks for the posting.

Regular price is actually 45$ at most other retailers, not the 90$ they claim.

I just made some ice cream in mine the other day. These things are a great day, highly recommended.

@dpmonkeyboy: well crap, if it's -22, the ice cream will warm you up!

@meadslosh: get the ben and jerry's recipe book as a start, add a bottle of flat Kona Pipeline Porter to the espresso base, yummy.

I've owned one of these for years - works great. Two things I'd recommended:
1) Additional cylinder thingies are available. If you have room in your freezer, keep more than one
2) I keep plastic wrap over the mouth of the cylinder while it's in the freezer to keep the ice crystals out. This makes a big difference in the quality of the ice cream

I have one as well, and these things are really fun and work awesome!

As stated above though, the only issue is that you need extra cylinders because otherwise you have to re-freeze the same one over and over and they don't make much ice cream per batch, which makes it kind of a hassle. More expensive models use a built-in compressor but obviously, expensive models are expensive. For someone with a freezer that is full to bursting like me, this may not be the best choice.
