grumble, grumble rebates grumble,grumble
I am entirely too disorganized to keep up with rebates.
GREAT deal though
Oops... I just posted this about 10 minutes ago... (I looked through all the posts first, and the "add" site didn't show this posting... hmmmm...
You beat me to it!
I bought one... for $3.99... NICE!!! CLASS 10!!!
I don't mind the MIR... it's always NICE when that plastic $$ card comes in the mail; I've never had a MIR problem. I keep copies, but with Patriot, I've never had to call to find where my rebates was--nor had to send my copies in for proof.
Every time I've bought a SD card or flash drive with 3 eggs or less, I've had to return it. Sure, they'll usually replace it, but you run the risk of losing data. And sometimes it's a pain where you end up paying return shipping. Just my $0.02.
Wow this is a great deal. Even without the rebate.
I'll just wait until it's this price without a rebate.
Who the #@$% wants an American Express card, with all the strings and other crap on the rebate form? It would be easier to just spend the $$$, and BTW, it is available for $8.00 at several other sites.
As far as rebates go I've had 100% success to date with the rebates that are processed through "4myrebate.com" such as this one is. Form gets filled out and initially submitted online, reducing chance of your handwriting being misread. I would rather have a check than the credit cards, but in the $5 increments they work well for me. I catch movies at AMC theaters at the showtimes before noon, for non-3D movies at my local theater it's $5 a ticket. Or once in to the concession stand if I want a large soda (with the Stubs program discount) it is also $5. So I've got a good method to fully and easily use these rebate cards but I can see where they get annoying otherwise.
Also, at $4 a pop (after rebate, I got one of these on a same value offer last month and will do again if the offer resurfaces) these work great as MP3 collection "volumes" to swap in and out of my Rockboxed Sansa player. Class 10 is overkill for player usage, and even if the card doesn't get those speeds (haven't run a test on my earlier card yet) I only need to worry about it when I'm loading up from my computer.
