Up-front cost of $49.99. Still a good deal for the patient, but no need to click the link just to find out the up-front cost.

Kaspersky always has full rebates for their software. I bought 2 so far in a span of 2 years and they send the rebate checks and all. It was always free after rebate.

Is this for new customers only?

Maybe they give you money because they make money off of you... by selling your information to the Russian government. http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2012/07/ff_kaspersky/all/

Just how do you go about getting an additional $25 plus the "free" software when both rebates require the UPC Barcode???

Seems like:
$25: copy of UPC + cut out top flap + receipt
$50: cut out bottom flap (including upc) + receipt

Not sure if doing one will void the other. The $25 one is not listed on the product listing.

I confirmed with Kaspersky that both of these will work together since one requires the top box flap and the other one requires the bottom box flap. No matter how you cut it it's a free $25 after 6-12 weeks even if you throw the software in the garbage afterwards.

Of note: the $25 rebate requires you to mail in a copy of "the installation disk or page 1 from the manual of a competitor's product or previous Kaspersky product."
