I got a reflurb NC a couple of weeks ago from a different deal, and LOVE it.

If you are looking for an eBook reader, I'm not sure you will like it. I have a Kindle as well, and think the kindle is superior for reading books. The main reasons are weight and display: The Kindle only weighs a few ounces, while the NC comes in at almost 1 pound. It's a big difference in the hand. The eInk display of the Nook is also easier on the eyes.

HOWEVER, if you are looking for a cheap Android tablet (which I was when I bought it), it's GREAT! I rooted mine the first day, put Cyanogen Mod7 Nightly on it, and overclocked to 1.2Ghz. Now instead of reaching for my laptop to check mail/etc I grab the NC. The Amazon Basics Micro SD class 16 GB class 10 card works great in it as well.

I have to agree with oldcqr - if you really want to read books, get an e-ink reader. I got a (not color) nook from Woot! a while back and I really like it. It's much easier to read than on an iPad (which I'm assuming has a similar screen to the color nook).

@apu1212: If I was just going for a basic tablet and e-reader then I would definitely go with the Color Nook and root it out. But I was waiting for the the Kindle Fire tab as it has the faster dual core CPU so I can get smoother all the e-reader/tablet functions.

That was the only thing holding me back from getting the Color Nook.

I bought a refurbished Nook Color from a little over a month ago. The screen was overly sensitive and would jump through pages on it's own while I was reading. Adding a screen protector seems to have fixed that so far, though.

Aside from that, it arrived in good condition and fairly quickly. I paid $159, so this deal is a bit better.

CM7 Nook Color here. I have an Evo also, so I don't use it that often, but I do still like it a lot.
